Need some advice..

So what does the start of mucous plug coming out look like?

TMI ALERT!!

I'm in the ladies room at work and just wiped.. It has a couple globs (pencil eraser to 1/2 penny size) of a golden brown mucous, stringy slimy stuff all over it.

No blood, though!! That's good, right?

Yup, sounds like mucus plug.. maybe... at least that's what it's described as when I've read about it. Never lost mine with Noah. But I hear you can lose chunks/bits of it for a while before losing it all!

(Back at my desk now)

I don't ever remember loosing it with DD.. labor just started out of no where with her and she was here 2 hours later. lol..

I wiped again and it was a lot more. Not a LOT lot.. but definitely more than small bits.

Holy cow! It's getting real!

If anyone wants to see, PM me.. otherwise, I'll TOTALLY spare you. lol.. BUT OMG wow!!!

LMAO! That's something I would probably do...then immediately regret. I'm not going to do it this time. Nope. Won't do it.

that's what it sounds like to me! But I have heard you can lose some and it regenerates itself...Do you think it's a bit early for you to lose it? Have you called your md

Nah.. I don't think it's anything to worry about calling the Dr. I'll mention it to the nurse at the NST tomorrow.. but seeing as though it could be a week to a month away, I'm not worried.

What I read is if there is blood in it before 36 weeks, immediately call the Dr. But no blood. I think I'm good. Biggrin

It's just exciting that SOMETHING is happening to make it feel MORE real! :clappy:

Instead of the same ol.. I can't sleep.. peeing all the time.. routine. lol..

Wow thats exciting. I do hope he bakes a bit longer, but I have heard they regenerate, so your probably just fine.

I actually didn't know it regenerated until Alissa said so on the April BB!!! That's crazy cool how the body works.

I think my thing is that I want baby boy to come when he's able to come HOME with us, not go to the NICU. So I'm completely cool with waiting a couple more weeks. Biggrin

LOL!! @ u taking a pic. I actually took a pic of my vein tho cause I couldn't believe how far it bulged out.

Sounds like mucous plug to me & I don't think it's to early to loose it. I lost mine by 37 weeks with DS and there was some blood in it. He was born at 39+1 weeks!

I lost little bits and pieces of mine with both, and it did sound like that. It went on for quite a while, though, so I wouldn't say labor is imminent.

I have heard they can regrow too, especially this early. I remember losing mine last time and going into labor a couple days later but I was 40 weeks by then.
