Christmas is almost here! Not much longer :) Are you all ready? What are your Christmas plans?
My DS keeps telling me how many days are left.. lol We have a little countdown snowman at home and he changes it.
We open gifts as soon as my DS wakes up :) We let him sleep in and we sleep in. This year will be so exciting.. he's much more excited about it than any other year! He's getting a bike and will wake up and walk past the tree to come to our room. Let's see if he notices his bike before coming to our room.. he may be half asleep so he may not. This will be our last Christmas as a family of 3! Can't wait for next year!!
We then will go to my mother in law's after which is just next door and give them their gifts. We have a Christmas lunch at 12 at my in laws. We are actually doing a fish fry and I am also doing a smoked turkey so I was thinking I'd slice it up.. and just do a platter for mini turkey sandwiches with all the condiments since it'll be a fish fry. About every other year we do something different!
For dinner we are going to my parents house and having a Christmas dinner there. This year will be different too.. we are having mexican food.. cheese enchiladas, etc. I can't wait!! We'll open presents and have a great time! I'm off Monday-Wednesday of next week, I'm so excited lol
I'm off today so it's a play day for DD and I.. DH is working from home, too and I think I might have him convinced to go out and build a snowman at lunch! :) We had some snow last night but it's blowing around like like crazy..
Anywho.. lol..
Christmas will be at my aunts, as will the day after for leftovers.. (and my cousin's 21st birthday!!) :D I have Monday-Wednesday off.. work Th and Fri next week and then off the end of Friday through Jan 2nd. YAY!
I'm jealous you're off til Jan 2nd :P We only have New Years off but I'll take it LOL
OMG... SOOO not ready. Well, except I want to open my baby-gender present! ;)
But we REALLY need to clean our house. UGH. I still really, really want to take Christmas pictures of the boys, and I have almost NO time to do that. Saturday, we're going to the zoo with my parents. They decorate it all up with lights.. It's really neat. It's supposed to be a high of 36 that day, though. Yikes!
Sunday, we need to get EVERYTHING cleaned and my pics taken (eek!). I hope we can get it all done.
Christmas Eve, we'll be visiting my family and going to the yearly party at my aunt's house with all my aunts/uncles/cousins, etc from my dad's side.
Christmas day, my parents and the ILs will be coming to our house. We'll cook dinner (probably preparing most of it the night before)... Ham, scalloped potatoes, etc. And... I get to find out if baby is a boy or girl!! And watch the boys open their gifts. Crap, I haven't wrapped yet. I need to wrap tomorrow or Sunday.
I have a few presents left to wrap too!
