Kids are wonderful, they are! BUT! What do you miss about your childless life? When it was just you or you and your SO?

I'm a worry wart.. so I miss being care free. Well, not that I didn't have worries but I constantly worry about him. I imagine the worst things possible! Lol

I miss sleeping in.. not having to share my food.. and being able to go out on a whim.

But... I take naps, eat treats after she's in bed.. and lump my errands all together when I need to go do something. Smile

I miss being able to go out on a whim too! Just bc.. whenever.. staying out til whatever time.. those were the days! But honestly, I don't miss sleeping in.. I feel like my day is wasted if I sleep in and during the weekends DS usually sleeps a little later than normal and he plays and watches tv on his own and then I get up to get him breakfast.

All of the above. I'm a big worry-wart too, so the kids make me insane with all their illnesses and injuries. I was a big worry-wart before kids also, so I still worried, but in hind-sight, those worries were nothing compared to the ones I have now.

Other things I miss... Being able to watch a movie. DH and I have only been out to the movies once since the kids were born, and that was to see the last Harry Potter, lol. And we spent the whole time being nervous wrecks because DS1 had just had his febrile seizure and was sick, and DS2 was only about 4 months old. I had pre-ordered the tickets, otherwise, we wouldn't have gone. If we try to watch a movie at home, we're interrupted so much that a 2-hour movie takes us like 6 hours to watch, haha.

DH and I used to go out occasionally to bicycle trails and ride our bikes. We can't really do that anymore. And like you ladies said, just going out on a whim and doing anything. We have to pack like we're going on a week vacation just to take a day-trip somewhere.

And lastly, having a relatively neat/orderly house. I've never been a clean freak by any means, but it was certainly better than it is now.

All that said, I wouldn't trade it for the world, of course!! Smile
