Do you celebrate Easter? If so, what do you do? Big meal with family? Easter "egg hunt"?

We go to Sunrise Service, go home for breakfast and then back to Church. BIG family lunch and little egg hunt for the kiddos! This year though we are taking our yearly mountain vacation on Easter weekend, we didn't even think to look at the calendar and cabin is booked, etc. So we will not be doing the traditional Easter this year. We will be with friends and taking the kids there to a local park that does some Easter festivities. We will be headed home Sunday afternoon so it'll be a day of travel as Helen, GA is 4 hours away from us!

We do Passover here... starts on Monday night and is the reason why I haven't been around much. Lots of prep for it and next week will be super busy!!! Happy whatever holiday you celebrate ladies! Smile

Holidays are not that much fun due to not being about any family and DH usually has to work so it is just me and DS. But, since I am on bed rest, my sister and nephew are scheduled this week so Jack will have a playmate to go egg hunting with. Between me and my sister these boys are going to be on a sugar high! LOL And DH splurged and got each boy a big chocolate bunny on top of everything else. He is such a softie sometimes. I am looking forward to it!

Against my best judgement, we are going to my parents Friday and Saturday and coming back here Saturday night to spend Easter at our church (sunrise service, pancake breakfast, regular service). Then we're having dinner w/ the pastor's family.

Usually we go to my parent's house and my mom has an egg hunt for the kids and Sunday dinner but this year I wanted to stay home, mostly so we could participate in our church's activities and also because I'll be so pregnant. But then we found out my mom is throwing this "surprise" shower for me so we sort of have to go at least for a night. I'm sort of looking forward to it, but sort of not... I really wish we could spend a whole Easter weekend at our house instead of away for once. :/
