She's making an early escape!

So I have been having back pain for months, but now the pain has spread to my hips and leg sockets. Then today, I had some wicked contractions that were really painful and had to stop what I was doing. Which was teaching so all my kids are asking me, "Mrs. Stevens, are you ok?" "Is the baby kicking you really hard?" LOL

So today I had an appointment and I saw the NP. She was a little concerned about dilation so she did a pelvic exam. Sure enough I am really soft and starting to dilate, but just about a fingertip to a 1. They are sending me to PT for the pain I am in. I really can't go up stairs hardly at all and just walking is an effort. My leg sockets feel like they are on fire. She said, "you know, you are only 26 weeks." I was like, uh yeah I know! I feel like a big whiny baby, but I am in some serious pain. I have a high pain tolerance, so that is saying something. She said the doctors would talk about putting me on limited work status. OY!

Yes, lay down! I'm surprised they haven't put you on bed rest yet to increase the chances she stays put. Keep us updated!

I am not on bed rest yet. I see my OB and the high risk doctor on March 7th (so 2 weeks). We will see what they say. I have an appointment for physical therapy Tuesday night. I am having other people take my kids to and from lunch and specials so I limit my stair climbs and am sitting as much as possible. I went to bed last night at 7:30 and slept til about 3 then slept from about 4 to 5:30 when my alarm went off. I was soooo tired. Didn't get home til after 6 from the doctor. Why is my body falling apart at only 26 weeks?

I am feeling ok, but I feel like my body is just falling apart. You know when you were little and you played with barbie dolls and sometimes their legs would pop out of the socket? That is what it feels like my legs are going to do. I can just imagine my leg popping out and it dangling there inside my pants, lol. Weird visual right?

LOL, I tried to share that imagery with DH, but he didn't understand at all! He only had brothers so Barbies are obviously out of his realm. ROFL
