I have a Graco Snugride. It's from 2009. Not sure of the model number. It's a bit big for my car.

I had a car set once upon a time.. from 2003. I'm gonna say it's time for a new one.

We may actually go to the store and look - I don't remember much about them anymore.. I remember that I do like the snap in, snap out kind.. but they may all be that way these days. Yikes! CAR SEATS, CRIBS and STROLLERS.. OH MY!

All in infant bucket seats are the snap in/snap out kind. If your back seat is narrow make sure you take your vehicle to a store that lets you TRY the seat in your vehicle. Some are narrower than others! I wished I'd done that with DD's seat but I didn't know any better!

We don't need much of anything at this point other than girly clothes which we should get a lot from my niece. I would LOVE to have a rocker or recliner. We had nothing with Jack and it was terrible. Jack's car seat is still good and I only used it with him for about 6 months. He had reflux and screamed in this car seat until we got a convertible which sits up a little more. He is in an Evenflo Symphony now and I LOVE that seat. I will probably get a second one when she is a little older. Most everything is more a want and not a need so I am trying to reign myself in so I can convince DH 100% that we can make it work without me working.

I had registered for a carseat.. until I read that zero carseats fit in the back of my car LOL I have a Mustang and I've done a lot of research and apparently they WILL fit, but the passenger seat will be all the way up. Which is fine for me and baby - I don't usually carry a passenger. I want to take my car to Babies R Us where they'll let you try them but it's like an hour and a half away and even thinking about it makes me tired.

Check for smaller local retailers that might let you do that. Also, go to

Car Seat.Org - Carseat, Automobile & Child Passenger Safety Community Forums

and ask the knowledgeable people there which seats they recommend.

I have a 4 door 2000 Jetta and my passenger seat was pretty useless with my daughter's infant seat behind it. I just sat in the back with her if need be. It pains me to say it but Mustangs aren't super well known as family cars.

Yeah, my car has been with me 8 years and getting another car just isn't financially doable. So I'll have to find something that fits. DH has a more family friendly car, so if we need to go out, we'll go out in his. But I just need something that fits, I'll deal with the pain in the butt-ness of getting her in and out. And like I said, I never carry a passenger, so...the seat being all the way up *shouldn't* be an issue.

I have a Baby Trend Flex Loc from 2009. It has been a great seat. Then when they get too heavy to where I dot want to tote them in the infant carrier (8 months or so for me), then I have a Graco MyRide 65 which I LOVE but its a WIDE seat so we may have to get something else if it won't fit with two more seats in whatever vehicle we end up with.

I don't see myself buying this baby a whole lot. Having had summer babies both other times I really have the first six months or so of clothes covered easily no matter baby's size and have all my gear still. The only thing I'll do is his/her room. Not that I might get sucked into a cute outfit or two

I had an Evenflo infant seat the first time, I loved it. It also snapped into the front of the shopping cart which I hear most of them dont. It makes me nervous to buy a carseat I dont know much about. I know the Graco brand is always good so I might go with that or Maxi Cosi but they dont sell the Maxi Cosi at the store.
