I just realized we have a small group! Are there really not many pregnant women due in the month of May?!?!?!! How weird :P
Little update on me.. we had a stomach virus.. well, my son and I.. not to mention I finally had ms hit.. ugh. It was awful, awful! I am feeling much better today though. We are still at home but I'm sure we will be back to our normal routines of school and work tomorrow. Thankful for this much needed rest though.
Yeah, I've been thinking that too. In the past, I noticed that people seem to continue trickling in until the end of the first tri. So hopefully we'll get a few more. Hopefully some lurkers will come out of lurkdom also! Come out, lurkers, we need you! Hahaha. :)
Sorry the m/s hit. Blech. I have been pretty miserable myself. So actual vomiting, but plenty of all-day misery. This pregnancy is so similar to my first. I actually hope it stays similar to my first until the end... It was a great pregnancy, minus all the nausea in the beginning.
I hope so too! I was like that when I joined the July 08 board.. I believe I was already in the second trimester when I did join. But yes, come out, come out, wherever you are hehe :)
I really didn't have much ms with my first pregnancy unless I went with an empty tummy for a little bit.. then I'd have major nausea and vomit. I guess every pregnancy is different bc I have it on and off already.. since Sunday night. Today seems better than the other days though. I had prehypertension with DS though.. but I was also heavier when I got pregnant.. so I know I am in better shape this time. Hoping for no prehypertension and bed rest this time!
Good luck! With DS2, my OB diagnosed me with "PIH - pregnancy induced hypertension"... I think he was a bit over-the-top about it though (he tends to overreact, I think).... I kept a journal of my BP's at home and 99% of them were good, with an occasional "high" one, but they weren't even really THAT high, like 140/80's. A bit elevated, but he'd freak out over it. I spent a lot of time on monitors in L&D per his orders, but I'd get there and my BP's would be perfect, lol... The nurses were starting to think that either (A) he was just trying to bill my insurance for unnecessary services, or (B) his MA needed retrained in how to properly take a blood pressure. LOL. I did end up having low fluid in the end, so I guess there could have been something wrong with the placenta, which he said can lead to things like PIH, and he said it could've started early on, hence my bleeding from weeks 9-12. So anyway, I'm hoping to get through this pregnancy without all that drama.
Oh wow lol I had too much fluid.. and my blood pressure was high but I passed the glucose test so it was pre-hypertension.. you and I were probably diagnosed wrong.. should've been the other way around!
I didn't have any bleeding with DS.. so I get so freaked out with any kind of discharge now. I did see the nurse last week and she said it was normal and not to worry unless it was bright red with clots.. so it eased me up a bit. Not to mention they did a test and it was a STRONG positive :) Can't wait for my appointment next week which is not next Monday but next Thursday lol I have pregnancy brain already!!

Yeah, thinking we are going to get some new faces over the next few weeks. Some people want to wait until their first appt and confirmation, or they're just too sick and miserable to be able to go online. We are just sick and miserable WHILE we're online :)

This is one of the samller boards but I do agree that we should see some new ones pop on after the first trimester. We are the only crazy ones! haha. At our Birthing centers here they say that May is one of the least birth months and that July, August and September is the highest. So hopefully I will birthing by myself and get lots of help from nurses!
