When's your first prenatal appt?
What do you expect to do / talk about at that appt?
I've been with the same OB for 12 years so they have my medical history.. I'm pretty sure they'll talk to DH about his medical history. And I'm quite sure we'll get a scan of little beanMy appt was supposed to be Monday but my boss scheduled an audit that day and as I was trying to keep it from him for a while I had to change it to Wednesday, the 26th. One week and one day!

well I already had an annual with my obgyn scheduled for the 28th, so I will go in for that and they like to cofirm the pregnancy and then they will probably see me for my first appt a couple of weeks later. I am deciding between 2 obgyns to see for this pregnancy though because they both have pros and cons.
Have fun at your 1st appt! It's approaching fast!!!
I am going Oct. 1st..My brown discharge is still there but definitely a lot lighter and less than it had been. I'm feeling good. I am really debating on using another doctor.. Only bc my current one is so busy.. we had one close and for a moment there all of his patients were using my doctor but two new OBGYNs came in to town so I'm thinking it's less busy now. Plus, my doctor has all of my history and he delivered Noah too.
Adriana, your is approaching fast, YEY!! GL with your decision
Samantha, yours is a little earlier than mine but not too far off.
Oct 2. Two weeks from today. I'll be 8 w, 5 d.
I don't know if theyll do an US, but I hope so because for no good reason I am worried about an ectopic preg.
They will do blood work and I'm anxious to know if I have any Rh anibodies. I'm Rh neg and DD is Rh pos so, it is possible I developed Rh antibodies at her delivery that could harm this baby if it is also Rh pos. Likely another irrational fear though because I got three huge slugs of Rhogam last time that should prevent antibody formation.
Also, I had gestational diabetes last time which is a reeeeeeeeal bummer. My mom and grandma did with their pregnancies too. I will discuss opting out of screening/testing because it is very likely I'll have it again. Even if the screen ended up ok I wouldnt trust it (thinking we tested too early, test was screwy, etc) and I would still implement a plan to control glucose levels - strict diet and exercise and home glucose checks - to proactively prevent any problems. No need to do an annoying, gross test to give me bad news.
I can't wait to start hearing about people's appointments and really start to feel like we've got this ball rolling!
I haven't called the doctor yet. I am a teacher so by the time I get out of school the office is closed. I am scared someone will overhear me if I call at workI will try tomorrow afternoon. It should be a shorter day. I just had my annual two weeks ago (about the time I O'd) and discussed what to do about not being pregnant yet. I was supposed to call on the first day of my next period so I could come in for blood tests. My doctor is going to be ecstatic about me calling about being pregnant instead. I just hope she is proactive and gets me in early. I have had 2 miscarriages and my son had a ton of medical problems. She will need to keep an eye on my platelets this time too. She is not the doctor that I had last time, but she is in the same practice. My other doctor left the practice and I didn't know that until much later. So I am up in the air about sticking with my current doctor or tracking down the other one who delivered Jack. :/
My first appointment is this Monday the 24th with a new OB, I am excited I can't wait!!

My appointment is next Monday, Sep 24th. Should be about 6 weeks 4 days then. Same ObGyn who delivered my boys. She usually does an ultrasound and full physical at the first appt. Hoping and praying I get to see a cute healthy bean! We are headed out of town the end of next week to visit my sister and am waiting to be able to tell her about the pregnancy in person once I've (hopefully!) had a good doc appointment!
