target brand tests (pic now posteD)

Has anyone used the target brand test? I have never used them before. I took a test this morning and I SWEAR there is the slight hint of a line starting but it was so light that the camera wouldnt pick it up. (DH saw it too...but only in the bathroom light.. living room light he couldnt see it) will wait a few days and take another but was wondering about everyone's experience with this brand. I am debating going and buying a different brand to see if I get a diff result

Oh oh oh! Go buy a different brand and try again in the am! So exciting. Can you get a pic of it in natural light, no flash?

I can see the line you speak of....hummmm....it's odd that it's so narrow though. I don't know anything about the Target brand tests.

I see a line too but it us really thin and seems a bit off centre.
I have no experience with these as I am overseas.

Hoping you get a nice chunky line soon to say that was just the beginnings of one!!

the narrow part is darker but I see a thick line... if it is narrow then it is not a BFP... try again with a different test

:lurk:

Last year I used one of those tests and got the same thing you did. Blue dye tests, especially the target brand, are netorious for evap/false lines like that Sad I would def. pick up a pink dye test in the next few days as they are way more accurate. FX for you Smile

I see it too! I'm not sure about the blue dye target brand but I use the pink dye +/- ones and those are great. I double checked those with a FRER anyway and the FRER line was darker than the Target brand but there was no question the line was there so I trust those. They're cheaper too which is a big plus. Smile Hope it's the real thing for you sweetie! Good luck!

I didnt know there was a difference in the blue and pink dye. that makes me sad. I hope it was just really light and not a false! I think the other test I have here is pink so ill use it tomorrow!

Yes, I agree with pp's, I wouldn't trust that line with it being a blue dye. Hope you get a real line soon though :goodluck:

so I used my ept (have used them before..though they were blue dye too) and it was neg. I thought I saw the slightest hint of the line comng up and as much as I wanted to believe that it was pos.... I will just keep waiting. My cycles are really off so Im not even sure if/when I o'd so Im also not sure how many dpo etc. SO Im going to take it lightly and then hope that we have better luck. (according to fF right now is my fertile time, and next week I should o. so we will go with that info for now) I did call my cousin and warn her about the blue dye.... as she is just starting to ttc for the first time and Id id not want her to get a result like that and be heartbroken. I did go shopping today and got a pack of pink dye tests. our dollar tree had NONE. so i only got a 2 pack.

I'm sorry sweetie. That is heartbreaking. I went through that two cycles ago. I had that ICs and they were a bad batch and giving me light lines. They were evaps I guess. And then I bought CBE blue dye tests and they were ALL lightly positive (3 pack). A friend of mine went out and bought some too...she got lines just like me. Neither of us were pregnant but we sure did get our hopes up. After that incident I pretty much only trust FRER. It's frustrating that this happens so often. Sad I hope that it was the real thing for you and that you first set of tests was just more sensitive than the others.

I bought some Answer ones today that were pink dye. Its upsetting but Im not heartbroken this time.... my cycles are confusing right now due to coming off of my pill and and starting back up (I have some earlier posts about htat while I was on vacay) so Im ok with it--according to ff Im in the fertile time if wha tI had previously thought was breakthrough bleeding was actually a short AF. SO Im ok with it. I wasn't expecting anything this cycle and though it would have been the PERFECT timing... Ill just hope this is the window!

Hugs. Those target tests gave me light lines a few months ago but I got not even a hint of a line on anything else. I have decided I won't use those anymore. I tried finding a pic in my photobucket, but couldn't quickly.

so despite my hopes, AF showed today. SO that means I have one more shot at May. I hope that this time my cycle fixes itself! I used to have 24/25 day cycles and right now Im not even hitting 20! (assuming this is from stopping my b/c pill. But if it continues I guess I will look into a dr appt)

Hugs to you girl. CD1 SUCKS! I wouldn't put too much weight on this past cycle. It was messed up because you started and stopped your pills. I hope next cycle is much longer!!!
