Hey ladies.. Toss me some thoughts if you can. I'm quite sure everything is fine but the nurse wants me to come in because of the period type cramping and the bloody vomit. I'm sure it's nothing but we just wanna make sure all is well.. Smile

All is good. Smile She said I most likely ruptured a tiny blood vessel.. said as long as it doesn't happen a bunch of times, it's no biggie.

The cramping is... well.. When she grabbed my tummy she said "OMG, girl, you've got a LOT of fecal matter in your colon!!!"

I guess I've been forgetting to poo.

So, yup - other than needing to :gottago: , no issues. They checked the doppler thingy and found bean's HB within 2 minutes.. (a long 2 minutes though lol.. ) and it was a healthy 154.

Don't they say a HB steadily over 140's is usually a girl? Wink I'm sooo gonna be broke! lol..

Unfortunately, I think I need OTC intervention.. I tried to go and nothing was there.. She mentioned a laxative that you can put into your drink to help get back to regular.. and then a stool softener to help stay regular.. I may give it a shot if I don't get anything moving regularly tonight with juices / foods.. (Although I'm not sure what I could possibly eat/drink that could possibly move stuff.. )

Lurking on the may board~~~

I am glad to hear there was nothing to be concerned with. How scary!

I hear you on the constipation. Between the pregnancy, zofran for the nausea, and pain meds for my knee my colon has no chance! Smile

Eat/drink lots of fiber. And lots of fluids to stay hydrated.

So glad most everything is ok. I am right there with you all and the constipation. I am on progesterone and it is bad. I have back pain overnight nearly every night until my body decides it has to go a little bit about 4 am. SMH It is bad!

Nothing yet. I eat prunes, drink fluids, but I can only eat what I can handle without...you know. I plan on asking my doctor tomorrow at my appointment.

Glad everything is ok. Most of the time when I puke there is a little blood. Freaked me out, but the midwives said it was normal. Ha, normal!

Constipation is awful. Prune juice seems to work. My midwife said hot water with lemon. I thought she was crazy...I tried it and immediately had to go. But I had the prune juice earlier that day...so it could have been that.

*Lurker*

With DD I had serious constipation, almost went to ER one night. I was told to take metamucil, it worked okay. It wasn't a miracle but got things sort of back to normal. Glad the baby is fine!!! Smile

Thankfully, no constipation here.. but I drink a lot of water and always have. It's harder to go though.. like it takes my body to go a little longer but I don't have to strain. Sorry, TMI. Try to eat plenty of fruits and veggies and lots of water Smile

I had constipation be with DD. Ugh! After 2 bad bouts I ended up stockpiling prunes and prune juice. I also found it helpful to eat thinks that normally take me have to go when I'm not pg. Eating fish & chips is a recipe for disaster when I'm not pg so incorporating it when I'm pg helps me stay regular. LOL

lol.. Fish and chips.. YUM!

TOTAL TMI ALERT!!!!!!!!!

So I tried a plan ol water up da bum but it didn't do anything.. and there's nothing in the "home stretch" cuz I felt for it..

I'm going to try a cup of coffee - which gets me pooing like nuts every time I do it. Which explains the hot water mix mentioned above.. anything hot in nature moves the bowels. If that doesn't work, I'll be off to the store to get some laxative stuff.. Sad

I know! I was getting excited to be PG again just so I could have Fish and Chips without disastrous consequences!

Good luck with the coffee. I know that works for some people. Have you had a warm bath to heat things up? LOL

Seriously though, constipation SUCKS. Been there.

I had 2 cups of coffee which is more than I've had in about 2 years.. and it didn't work :sad11:

I just got back from lunch and picked up some Dulcolax (generic brand, though.. ) Took 2 and now I wait for 8-12 hours for some relief. So right when I'm going to be wanting to go to bed, my bum is gonna wanna shoot cannons. Nice timing, A

Lol

My doctor said to get peri-colace. She wanted me to eat more leafy greens, but I have a green aversion right now, lol.
