Actually this morning was a good morning Lucas slept from 9-4:20 and went back to sleep at 5. Then woke up at 7 when I took him to my sister in law. My mom is keeping him but it's been storming so my sister in law kept him today
I feel good having some adult interaction already!
Hugs girl, glad you had a good first day back though.
I am having anxiety attacks about going back. I used to be such a hard worker and work 60 hour weeks often. So I am wondering what work will be like after having a baby. I think they will freak out when I walk out of the office at a decent hour to pick up my kid.
I do think adult interaction will be good for me though. But most days I don't get to shower until 9am so I am not sure how I will get ready and get him ready and get us out the door. Any tips?
Yeah most nights he sleeps from 9pm-4am. But that wasn't true last night. The 4am wake time makes it tough, I never know whether I should get up and start my day or put him back to sleep. I used to get up at 5:30 to go to work, but that was when I used to go in early.
I also have to figure out how I'm going to carry a baby, a purse, a diaper bag, a breast pump, and a sack of cloth diapers downstairs to my car. Surely DH will be helping me with this. But god what if its raining? I don't have a covered parking space. Agh, haha!
Elizabeth, I get my diaper bag ready the night before.. so if you do this, maybe you can go ahead and put that stuff inside your car the night before?
Also about putting him back to sleep, do so! I put Lucas back to sleep after he ate which was 30 mins later at 5.. and he slept until 7! That gave me 40 mins more of sleep.. and I was up at 5:40 getting ready and was ready at 6:35.
