Ugh, I hate this topic. I swear I think my high BP at my OB visits is due in part to the fact that they weigh me right before they do my BP. I pack on the weight FAST. Every time I go to an appointment, I'm terrified that my doc is going to tell me I'm gaining too much too fast. I'm ALREADY up between 15-20 lbs. *Hangs head in shame* My only saving grace is that I start out at 115 lbs, tops. My other two pregnancies, I've gained 40-45 lbs and it comes off pretty quickly. I usually lose all but 10 lbs of it by the time I go back to work, then as soon as I go back to work, I drop back to my usual under-weight self almost instantly (the only perk of not getting lunch breaks, lol).

I haven't been paying much attention to weight this pregnancy, I put the scale away, lol
When I had my 15 week checkup last week I was at 143lbs late in the day... I was 129 pre pregnancy so I have gained 10-13lbs.
I have started running on the treadmill to keep healthy and hopefully be able to continue so I can drop the weight after baby.
So in light of the convo here, DH and I have been discussing weight loss and healthier living.. I think for us it's just easier to eat craptastically.. and not put a ton of thought into eating well. I mean seriously.. how hard is it to open a can of green beans.. or put spinache/lettuce leaves in a bowl with some FF or low fat dressing on it.. Pure lazy..
So we're going to get a grocery list together with approved foods and start up with healthier eating. yay! Something to look fwd too!
I guess I should hurry up and finish off the fudge in the fridge from Saturday night.
Ya, DH and I did this Slow Carb diet (how I lost my 25lbs) for 3 months before getting pg. It was really easy to lose weight on it without even exercising. It's all about what you eat. We pretty much at no sugar, no dairy (except a tiny bit of cream in our coffee), and no fast carbs (pasta, bread, potatoes, rice, etc.). Our meals were pretty much meat, beans and veggies. There were so many combinations we could do...and it really worked at losing weight. We also started each morning with a high protein breakfast to get our metabolisms going. Eggs, bacon & spinach are a great combo. I'd often make a fritatta that lasted us 4 days...oh, I also sometimes put lentils in it.
Anyways, we stopped eating like that when I got pg but I'll definitely do it again. It was SO easy to lose weight while still eating good food. Oh, and I forgot, Saturday was cheat (aka binge) day! YUM!
