I have been so picky this pregnancy. I can't stomach straight meat. Nothing ever sounds great. I do well with chicken and am actually craving some chicken wings right now. I like burritos and anything with noodles is good. Also been craving salads. I was gaining so much weight in the 1st trimester but now within a month I only gained 1lb and I have been excercising so I am wondering If I need to be eating more.
What is everyone else eating? Snacking on? I need some ideas!
I think a better question would be ...what am I NOT eating? I'm SO hungry all the time, but immediately after I eat I get sick and throw it all back up. So, I've come to terms with it...and eat what I want, it's all coming back up anyway. Only thing is: I can't eat greasy food because apparently I have some kind of gallbladder issue (which I pray resolves itself after pregnancy and doesn't need to come out). I've been trying to eat a lot of salad.. I have soup most days for lunch. Doc said to eat peanut butter and cheese crackers since I can't keep much down and that would atleast give me some protein, so.. I eat a pack of those for breakfast LOL. For lunch I come home and eat - although everyday I pass the Mexican restaurant and want a Chicken Chimichanga (Fried!).. OMG, I want one right NOW. There's a lady with a freakin FOOD calendar in her office... and it looks so good everytime I walk in there! For dinner I usually eat whatever I made DH, but just in a smaller portion or if I made him beef, I just eat the sides. I'm really trying to learn how to manage my stomach issues. I say that, but today for lunch I ate almost an entire bag of salad. I generally have some cut up veggies in the fridge that I can grab and dip in salad dressing or something. I wouldn't worry too much about gaining/not gaining weight. Baby will take what baby needs. My MW said that protein is important for the baby, so if you're *really* worried about the weight thing, just make sure you're eating enough protein or drink a shake or something. This is really long LOL sorry.
Breakfast - either cereal or English muffin with melted cheese slice (I wrap it in foil immediately for about 1 minute) out of the toaster so it melts the cheese
Lunch - I'm on a Lean Cuisine kick right now But just had a croissant with a slice of hickory smoked american cheese and chicken breast slices.. Earlier I had two tortillas with cheddar and jalapenos inside..
Snacks - vanilla yogurt with Honey Oat granola.. honey roasted peanuts.. poptart ( ).. tangerines..
Stuff like that. I don't cook much at ALL!! So my choices often repeat. lol..
My 1st trimester was all about soup, that's all that would stay down!! but I'm not sick anymore & Ive been crazy about pasta of any kind, I love spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo with extra broccoli, lasagna (with meat & vegetables), greek pasta salad with tomatoe, cucumber and feta, tuna pasta salad with fresh dill! Thankfully pasta is really cheep cause my other half doesn't eat it much so I often make it just for myself and bring the leftovers to work for lunch.

I've been eating relatively healthy during the week then I eat bad all weekend LOL But I just came to realize that I need to slow down and eat better.. for my BP and my weight.. my health and babys as well!
Today for breakfast I had a banana, some juice and a bagel with cream cheese. I'm about to get my yoplait light parfait to snack on. Lunch will be an Amy's meal bowl.. it's a pasta bowl with broccoli.. yum yum. I love Amy's!! Organic frozen meals.. so yummy.. usually low on sodium too, you just have to look. For dinner DH is grilling pork chops and corn.. I'm working on another side. Thinking salad and rice.
Samantha, I don't have that problem but cooking it sometimes makes me gag! I actually had Subway today.. I haven't had deli meat so I figure it wouldn't hurt.. I hope it doesn't.. I got my sub toasted so the meat was at least hot. It was so good too.. mmm!
