    Default 24 weeks!

I hit a major milestone today!!! I'm officially 24 weeks today! Although by no means would I want my baby born right now, it's a sigh of relief. I'm 4 weeks away from my dr.'s first goal of 28 weeks which is insane! I just keep praying that all continues to go well. I go Friday for a cervical check and I'm soooo nervous.

Also, HOLY HEARTBURN!! I was up at nearly 2am eating Tums because I literally felt like I had a lit match inside my body. It was terrible. It morning and I still have it. Any suggestions on how to calm this....???

Congrats, Mari - that's awesome and has to be a huge relief for you. KUP on your visit on Friday.

As for heartburn, I've been lucky so far and have been able to completely control mine with Tums every once in a while. But with my last 2 pregnancies, my heartburn was out of control! I took Zantac twice a day, which helped some, but then still had to eat the maximum amount of Tums each day. I know some people say they have trigger foods, but for me, it didn't matter - pizza or water, it was all the same! I hope you get some relief and if not, I can tell you that mine went away immediately after birth! Also, if you don't have them, try the Tums Smoothies!

That is so awesome!! What a relief to know you're at 24 weeks now and chances of survival are so much better! Of course, you'll keep baking this bean as long as possible, but how great to be at 24 weeks!

I've also been suffering from the most intense heartburn EVER! I was up twice last night chugging Mylanta because it woke me up. Mine will hit hard and intense very suddenly and I end up puking. What comes up feels like fire, so I'm with you there. These kids better have some serious hair!

Yes!! I came very close to vomitting! It was intense heat! I have never experienced that before. I have been just okay today. It is still lingering.

I've been on Pepcid AC for a few weeks now, but it wears off in the evenings and then it gets to vomit level again. This is the worst I've had. I just thought it was bad the first two times. Have you tried pickle juice? I have people swear by it and if I catch it early enough it does help for a little while.

How are you feeling otherwise? Is everything else going well?

I guess good. I've been developing symptoms that I didn't have in prior pregnancies which have me uncomfortable. So long story short I have become a not very pleasant person!

Yay!! I have had some heartburn but not as bad as with my other two pregnancies. Tums is the only thing that kind of helps me.

First of all...CONGRATS!!! Hitting 24 weeks! I'm so happy for you!

As for the heartburn - personally I have trigger foods that I finally figured out...and now do not eat. Pickles was one of them.
But when I did have intense heartburn - I took calcium and papaya extract. It helped a lot. My midwife also suggested lemon water. I hope one of those helps you.
