Default Been MIA, but feeling ok

I haven't been as active here as usual. Mainly due to extreme fatigue. My nausea is pretty much gone now but the fatigue kicks my butt every day.

I really just wanted to get back on here to update a little.

I can feel my uterus in my abdomen now. About the size of a grapefruit.

We have our 12 week appointment with the midwife next friday. I can't wait to hear Smudgy's little heart beat again. We haven't heard it since nearly 7 weeks. We will probably set up the anatomy scan at that point too.

And we have an elective 3D scan scheduled at 16 weeks. Hopefully we get to find out what gender we have at that point. I would love to tell the family over Christmas. If not, I'm certain we'll know at the anatomy scan. But that probably won't be until mid-January.

Anyway. All is well, just tired. I hope all of you lovely ladies are feeling well now. I know most of you are further along than I am.

I don't get on here enough to make a new post every time lol. But I feel like updating so I'll just do it here.

Feeling pretty good. Nausea only on an empty stomach. My energy is coming back and I cleaned a ton of stuff out of the garage Saturday.
I'm dealing with headaches which i hear is normal for the second trimester.

Smudgy is moving around more often now (or I'm feeling him/her more often now). The feelings are stronger...like actual jabs now.

We're going to Houston for a family christmas party this weekend which is going to be awesome because we missed Thanksgiving and will miss Christmas...DH has to work a ton

Then the following Thursday is our gender ultrasound. Looking back I laugh at myself for thinking I could wait until birth...Im not patient at all. My fingers are crossed for a little boy. But just anxious to see our little healthy Smudgy on the screen again.

The personal doppler we have shows that the HB is slowing down - I read that it's normal for it to slow a little. Yesterday it was 154 bpm. Still a healthy number and a very strong thud, thud, thud.

Anyway...things are looking up and getting easier. I hope all you lovely ladies are feeling well too!

Glad everything is going well on your end. I just had my second MW appointment and everything seems good. I can schedule an elective u/s around 20 weeks if I want, but they don't require it and we aren't finding out the sex, so I don't know if we'll do one.

Good luck at your party and at the u/s coming up!

Hey. Glad everything is okay!! Have fun at the party!

The HB is supposed to lower to around the 140-150's I believe. I may be wrong though.

Thanks Anna, and yes Marisol. It slows down quite a bit. Right now Smudgy ranges from 147-152 but still a loud strong thud.

My only concern right now that has come up...is ketones in my urine. It could be caused by a ton of different things. But I'm trying so hard to eat a ton of protein and real fats. I have just GOT to have this vbac. No more cutting me, no sir-e! Plus we can't afford it
