Names?

Has anyone ventured into the name minefield? We have NOTHING. Starting completely from scratch this time. We did that the first time but in the process of coming up with names the first time, we sorta also came up with a boy name and actually ended up using it for our son later. I go to look at baby name sites and immediately feel overwhelmed because I have no idea what letter, origin, whatever I should even start with, and going through them alphabetically makes me want to claw my own eyes out.

We don't even discuss it until almost my due date. We didn't pick either 100% until I was in hospital. We don't agree at all. We fight about names so we just don't talk about it. Lol

My problem is I know exactly what I want but nothing sounds right.

First names must be culturally neutral or Gaelic, at least 2 syllables, can't start with "T" or end in "an", and can't be top 100. Middle name will be after a recognizable scientist, preferably a female biologist.

Easy, right?

I have always wanted a little girl named Chloe. That has been our girl name both times. So for a girl we will name her Chloe Danette Hope (Both of our boys have 2 middle names). We haven't really thought about a boys name. We are hoping for a girl so if we find out we are having a boy we will have to think of some names! I like Carson and Camden. We have a "C" theme going so it would have to start with a C. We have two boys and their names are Christopher and Cooper.

Have you tried Nymbler - Your Personal Baby Name Assistant ?
They have a spot where you can enter your children's names and it will come up with suggestions of names that go with them - you can also add names to your "NO" list (forget what they call it) - so they won't come up in your searches

It's a fun site for sure!

No ideas and not sure when we will even start looking. With DD, we both easily agreed shortly after we found out she was a girl; with DS1, we had a list of boy names from DD and were pretty quick to agree on his name after we found out his gender as well. DS2 was very hard - we couldn't find a name that we both loved and didn't name him until after he was born. I have a feeling this time will be the same especially since we aren't finding out the gender.

Nichole - I love Camden for a boy and Chloe for a girl!

No idea whatsoever! I'm sure DH and I will have a tough time agreeing. We had a hard time naming our 3rd boy, if this one is a boy I really have no clue what he will be named. If it's a girl we have the "girl name" that we had for all our other kids, though at this point I'm getting tired of it. We might have the baby who doesn't get named until they are a few weeks old.
