    Default Prometrium?

So today I had my placement ultrasound and it turns out our bean is in my uterus. Everything looked really well
The U/S tech looked all over the place at everything... Dr K hugged me and said everything looks perfect.

Then he sent me to the lab to have another HCG draw and progesterone.
My midwife was going to do that but now Dr K ordered it...

Anyway...I called the dr office just now because I've been cramping ever since the ultrasound ... Dr K said it's normal and to drink lots of water and rest.

But they also had my lab results....my HCG is 3040 at 21DPO! (5 weeks gestation) so that's really good.
However, my progesterone was only 10.6 so he's prescribing me Prometrium.

I've seen this word on the forums before.

What can you lovely ladies tell me about it?

I am on it, 200mg a day plus a baby aspirin every other day. I was very cautious about taking it, and have heard bad and good things. The good outweighs the risks, and my little bean is measuring a day ahead according to my last u/s (last Sunday) so it must be working.

Why does your dr have you on baby aspirin, if you don't mind my asking.

I've lost babies before...years ago. I don't want to lose this one :/

Baby aspirin 81 mg because it prevents clots, which can cause miscarriage especially if you have already experienced one.
