Will you find out the sex?

Are you planning to find out if you are having a boy or girl? Or are you team green till the birth day? We are debating and haven't really decided. We'd like to wait and leave this one a surprise, but I just don't know if I can hold out. We already have a girl and a boy and I have absolutely no preference, but I've given away all the baby clothes so it would help to know so I can prepare a little bit. I don't know!!

I would love for this one to be a surprise, so we are team green for now. I thought we were team green for #3 as well, but then had to know at our 20 week u/s. Since this is our last, I'd love to have that little extra delivery room surprise! I'm terrible at waiting though, but I'm going to try!

We can't wait, so we have to know before birth lol I'm hoping for a girl and DH for boy. He is too afraid to have a girl and having to deal with MS, boyfriends, etc ROFL He is crazy, because he loves little girls. When our family gets together he can't get away from his baby niece or baby sister. Only god knows, so whatever he gives me is good.

I found out for my first two with my late husband.

I kinda assumed we would find out for this one. Especially since it would be nice to have a boy.
DH wants it to be a surprise. I'm a very impatient person so IDK how well this is going to go but we're going to try to be team green as long as possible.

Boy or Girl!! Just want a healthy little person.

The more I think about it the more exciting it seems to push out my child for the first time (VBA2C) and pull them to my chest and see boy or girl. Or hear the midwife say "it's a..."

I'm going to hold onto that sought after sensation to help me wait lol

We'll find out:) I figure it's a surprise whether we find out at 20 weeks vs birth right? And I really like to plan!

Steph! I didn't know you were going for a VBA2C! I am too!! Its not looking good right now, but I've been trying to figure out some way to go with the midwives and local BC here in town. They are really my only chance.

We haven't discussed finding out any more yet, but I'm sure the topic will come up again.

Ooooo! I don't know!! We have a girl and a boy. So it would be nice to have a surprise! But I'm very impatient and like to be prepared. My husband said he didn't want to wait. I guess we'll see what I do at the ultrasound. I might not make my mind up until they ask me, "Do you want to know!?" lol

Yes Ma'am. I saw that in your intro and got so excited that there was another VBA2C in may...so glad I get to be here with you chica.

What do you mean it isn't looking good? How were you cut?
Your kids will be 2 years and 2 months apart from the last c-section to this birth.
That's long enough for scar tissue to heal adequately and attempt a VBAC.
There should be no reason you can't do a VBAC.

Later on they'll check your blood pressure and sugar. As long as you're healthy, go for it.

I've done extensive research on these things. My first DD was an emergency c-section and
I let my OB scare me into the repeat c-section with DD2.
Not gonna happen this time. OB's push c-sections.

My midwife is all on board!

Girl get your surgical records. You're in charge of your birth...(eh hehe I sound a little fanatic) but it's true.

We will find out. If my DH had his we we wouldn't with any of them. Me I'm a planner and I want to know. Also with all the drugs with csection I don't want any surprises. I'm hoping for a girl since this will probably be it.

We have 3 boys and we are going to leave this one a surprise. We found out the gender with the other 3. I will be happy with a 4th boy or a 1st girl, this time I just want to be surprised. It will be extra incentive for me to push the baby out Smile

So...I just found out that my midwife is only going to order one u/s at 28 weeks to check on the baby.
I told DH that...it would still be a surprise if we found out at 28 weeks after waiting so long...
But then the other side of the "argument" is that there's only about 10-12 weeks left after that so why not wait lol.
Then I get on here and I see Kristin's comment about extra incentive to push the baby out...well...perhaps that's true too.
Maybe I need the extra incentive, especially since this will be my first labor.

I think we will find out. I thought I wanted to wait and be surprised, but now that I'm actually pregnant again, I'm so excited that I want to know everything. Blum 3

I'm 110% team green. DH is about 80%. He'll end up going with what I want. We bought mostly gender neutral stuff with DD and my friend is giving me a bunch of boy clothes. We'll be fine either way. I really want that extra excitement at the birth and it'll be extra reason to keep the names to ourselves.

DH is now saying he'll go with whatever I want. He swears it was me who wanted to wait...I could have sworn he was the one who brought it up lol. IDk

I keep going back and forth. There's so many benefits either way!

I just can't help but feel it will be so amazing when the baby comes out to look between their legs and announce the gender. I've never had that experience before.

I agree, Kristin! We found out with the last 3 and I'm excited to wait for this one even though I could NOT wait to find out with the other 3! Part of it might be the fact that I'm still in slight denial that we're having a fourth and knowing the gender will make it more real, but either way, I'm also excited for that delivery room experience.

We found out with DD. I was WAY too impatient. Since this will be our last baby, I want to experience it the other way. Also, I know it will be torture for my friends and family. :neener:

I think not finding out will be torture on myself. I am itching to do some baby shopping. I have searched stores with little to no neutral clothing... And then the ones I find are not as cute as the gender specific Sad

Hey! I'm knocked up too, so it'll go both ways! (Are you pulling a Leigh and keeping the names from even the Castaways? Cause you know you'll be forcing my hand to copycat.)

No no no, you can't both do that, the torture. You both pull that stunt and, and ummm I have no leverage. Actually I'll hide a whole pregnancy from you if it ever happens Blum 3

I'll likely consult about names with the Castaways but I won't give the exact names because I'd like to give myself the option to change my mind at the last minute. Smile

so we're officially not waiting. I must have mistook the midwife about when the U/S would be. She'll order one between 18-20 weeks.

We're going to find out and have a gender reveal party...which is also something I've never done. This will likely be baby number 3 out of 4 so perhaps I'll wait until birth for the last one.

I'm so impatient. lol. I can't wait.
