Bill is done with SLC. He has Grad in the am. He is finishing with a 93% I am so proud of him. He had to call the First Sergeant Wed to get a fax and was asked "Your almost done right?" and then was told "Do good because when you get back we need you to be the Station Commander" (the current SC is leaving in a few weeks) OMG this will so change things for us. 1) He hates the SC he works under now and this is why he has been looking for something eles. 2) If he takes it he will stay in VT :D. 3) That would take away a lot of my stress, from the last post. Not that I want to live in VT with all the snow but it will be a lot closer to my family in NY and we can keep Heath's medical team in Albany and just spend the night with family if we have to for visits.

It is not in stone just said in passing but I think that is a huge pat on the back just to hear that they are thinking aobut that for him. We did not think this was even something that could happen as the SC is an AD job and he is in the Reserves working FT as a Recruiter. But working as a SC is something that will look aswsome when they review him for E8 even if he only gets to keep it 3 months until they replace him. He thinks they are going to give it to him until they find someone in AD that can take it. But now that he has taken the SL course and is the Sr ranking officer in the office he thinks they are giving it to him by defalt. I don't care why he gets it as long as it keeps him happy and in VT.

Drat on not getting the new job! I know that would have relieved so much for you!

What options is he considering (or perhaps rather are there available?)

We prayed about it a lot and had some tears and in the end we are going to be making plans for me and the 4 kids to move to VT at the end of the school year!!! I am so excited and we will just have to pray that insurace and schools for Heath all work out. I need to have his daily support it is just to hard knowing he is missing all of Simons milestones or planing and counting down the days until his next visit only to have something happen and then we get pushed back another week. I know some kids go months without seeing Daddy when he is deployed or in a custody stuff if your divorced with visatations but Bill and I are happy and want to be together I just have to jump in with both feet and make it happen. God put us together and gave us Simon and I feel like I have been smart about staying here in ny for Heath but as more time goes on I know we are going to be 100% better off living with Bill then how things are now. We agreed not to talk about his other options until after we are living together and he will stay where he is and should the time come that the army moves "him" I'll go too be that 3 months or a year after we go to VT I no longer care because being at his side is what we all need. They have hospitals in VT and shools too and I have 8 months now to get get my ducks in a row and make it happen with out to much of a shock on the kids or effecting Heath's health. I plan on making all his next 3 month health visits here and then asking for referals to VT at that visit. Wish us luck. I am on cloud nine I don't think I could be happier even if he gave me a ring and a wedding date that dose not mean anything to me since I know at this point living with him is the goal and now we have a move in DATE

I'm glad you made a decision that you are happy with. We will definitely have to get together once you move to VT. And if you or Bill need help with anything, just let me know.

Glad you are getting everything worked out. When you do get married, know that the military has some great programs for exceptional family members (EFM). They make sure that they are taken care of physically and mentally.

I hope everything is working out! That is how military life usually goes though. You expect one thing, and then get something totally different.
