Last year, we were actually in Mexico on Cinco de Mayo, we were there for the day on a cruise. We spent the day on the beach enjoying quesadillas, shrimp ceviche, Dos Equis, margaritas and Josh had a virgin daquari, and we all 3 of us played in the waves. By far one of our favorite family memories!

Oh wow, that sounds lovely! Jude's preschool class celebrated Cinco De Mayo with a fun party, but we didn't do anything particularly special for Saturday. I have noticed it's a much more popular holiday in Texas than it was in North Carolina.

That would be AWESOME!!

I really don't think I had ever heard of Cinco de Mayo before I moved to California. Here its a pretty fun thing (though for the kids they call it more "Cinco de Drinko" LOL> I wanted to take Zayden down to the big festival in Old Town where they have parades and battle reenactments but we had other things going on Saturday so we just had lunch and margaritas!
