dvds that are not scary?

Aasha gets scared easily. Any recs for not scary dvds? Movies, esp? In the last few weeks we rented 3 movies, all were failures for her: dr. doolittle (cartoon - apparently had scary and bad gorillas), ferngully (we had to stop it real soon because apparently it starts out with some scary thing chasing the fairy), & tangled.

Thanks!

Miles gets scared easily too. He received Fox and the Hound for Christmas, the set with 2 (vol. 1 & 2). We don't watch Vol. 1 because it's scary, but Fox and the Hound II is really cute and doesn't have any scary parts. He loves that one.

Barney is another one that's not scary, we have a few of those. And Chuggington, not sure if she's into trains though.

The Muppet Movies!!! Josh loves them!!! We got the latest on our Netflix queue today and are on our third time watching it today. It has music, it's funny and not scary and it is something adults can watch too. Maybe Elmopalooza and Elmo in Grouchland as well, if Aasha likes Sesame Street. Or maybe Care Bears? Or Strawberry Shortcake?

I'm not sure about Care Bears but Strawberry Shortcake does have a "bad guy" in it that a child who scares easily could find scary.

it seems like most of the disney movies have *something* scary in them, sorta a theme, here is the bad guy and must escape or something?

Yes exactly if the child is scared of a "bad guy" character, it is pretty hard to find a movie without one to be honest.

What about Little Bear? We were at the library today and I saw they had that movie. I have not seen it, but I guarantee there will not be anything scary in that.

We're also watching Jungle Book right now, and so far there has been nothing scary. Even the "bad guy Tiger" has been likable.

Oh yeah we watch Little Bear (the show) at home and I can't think of anything scary I have seen in it. Then again Sophia doesn't really ever get scared so I don't pay a lot of attention to that stuff, but I'm pretty sure it would be safe. Berenstein Bears would be another one.

I bet Sophia would like Jungle Book, I forgot about that movie!

I take back the Jungle Book rec. there is one tiny part that might be mildly scary. It is suuuper tame though, compared to other Disney movies.
