Extreme Couponing

Has anyone seen the previews for this show on TLC? Anybody planning to watch it?

I am because I'm so curious how they do it! The ads had ladies buying $600 worth of stuff and only paying $6?!?! How in the world do they do that?

I watched the first episode of it and I was blown away. I will say that these people spend just about all of their time looking for deals and clipping coupons. I wouldn't have the time or patience. Also their houses remind me of organized, clean hoarders. What I mean by that is if they have a certain coupon for say deodorant and they can get 100 sticks of deodorant for .99 or free.. they will fill their carts up with that particular item. Whether they can use all of it in their lifetime.... who knows. They have such a ridiculous amount of products. I think one of the guys donated a lot of his stuff to churches and homeless shelters which I thought was great.

It is incredible and I'd even say it's a talent. I don't see them ever running out of anything LOL

I thought this was a thread about tips and advice, lol. I didn't know there was a show about it. I'll have to look it up. Although I can't even remember to use 1 coupon so I can't imagine I would be any good at trying something like you guys are describing.

LOL, seriously, I am the same! On the commercials, one lady was saying she would spend 4-5 hours preparing for a shopping trip. No thank you!

Mel, that would drive me crazy to have that much product stock-piled in my house!

Wow. 4 hours to plan for one shopping trip?! That's insane. I bet she doesn't go shopping very often. I don't know. I don't think I'd like keeping basically a grocery store stock in our house. Like Kim, it'd be fun to get a few tips on there.
