Forget Friday, is it 2013 yet?

Wow, does anyone else have these times when things are NUTS? Not always in a good way but for example this week we have something constantly going on, anniversary last night, PTA meeting (I'm secretary) tonight, tomorrow I have to work late, Thursday I have a professional development meeting, Friday meet a friend for dinner, Saturday going to a Crosby Stills and Nash concert and staying overnight, Sunday friends party... just seems like its ongoing.

Plus I have a case going to trial in a month so work is getting more and more hectic to where I have to work weekends, etc. I look at my calender and it seems like that is true for the rest of this year!

I just need some peace and quiet for a bit!

What is everyone else up to???

I am just busy w/everyday life - kids, cleaning, cooking, etc. I'm kind of lame... Biggrin

Not lame, Ashley! Full-time life, more like it.

Amy, some of your go-go-go sounds fun. Hope you get some down time!

We're all sick. It's been a crappy week because of that. But, luckily nothing serious. I almost cancelled my work trip last Sat, thinking I was too sick, but felt better in time for the flight. But, after returning on Monday night, I woke up feeling crappy. Manoj has been congested and coughing, poor little guy. He's smiling and chuckling in between everything. Had to take Aasha to the urgent care last night, she suddenly got a fever in the afternoon and it went up to 105.2 even with tylenol and advil. But, tests were negative, thank goodness, for strep and pneumonia. She has the croup.

That's my BORING update, lol.

I can fully understand, Amy. This is my crazy busy time at work (Open Enrollment season) so I'm working some on the weekends and some late evenings. Meanwhile DH is studying 7 days a week and anytime I have to work extra and leave the kids with him, he just stays up that much later and sleeps that much less (the man already barely sleeps.) So that of course stresses me out so between work stress and home stress I'm sometimes not sure which is worse. Layla came down with some sort of stomach virus yesterday and threw up all day, then the fever started in the evening. As of the time I left this morning she still had the fever but it had been 12 hours since the last time she threw up so we'll see how their day is (DH is home with her). He'll lose a full day of studying so if she still has it tomorrow I'll probably need to stay home with her at least half-day.

On top of that, we have had birthday or other parties EVERY weekend for as long as I can remember, which is unusual for us. And we have them for the next two weekends and then I think we have a little break. I love getting together with people but having all these constant parties has really made me get behind in housework, etc and feel like I just have no time to rest. Especially when I also have to squeeze in working on the weekends.

Amy - I was glad to see your trial got continued!!

Ashley - I was completely stressed with I was home with two kids on maternity leave. I don't think it's really any less stressful, just a different kind of stress!

Shelly - 105.2??? Oh my gosh! I would freak! LOL My kids have never had fevers that high! I hope you are all doing better now!

I'm busy, but it's not so much with the boys' agenda. It's more trying to get things done in between making sure they're not destroying the house or each other. Jude woke up throwing up last night, so he and I are having a sick day and doing some cuddling!

Oh wow, you girls do sound super busy! Sometimes when I'm complaining about how on the go we are right now, I wonder what it'll be like when the kids are older. We'll have games, practices, activities with friends, school projects, homework, etc.!

I'm trying to soak in these days of not having to be the kids' personal shuttle while I can! (:

Ain't that the truth?!? I hate the idea of becoming their chauffeur, but that seems inevitable these days.
