Long weekend here. It was very rainy so instead of helping at my parents farm, we put in a new bathroom in our basement. Now it has a working toilet, a shower in (not hooked to water yet), a wall, and door. It was pretty productive for us. We got the bathroom plumed when we redid the basement floor a year and a half ago.

Dh went to his bosses house for a sympathy super bowl party, they guy just doesn't have any friends. I didn't want to drive 3 hours round trip with just me and the kids. Dh will stay there and work until Tuesday night. I went with my uncle to his friends house. I really want to try to play match maker and set up my sister with this guy. He is a great guy, a single dad, with full custody of a little girl and a boy. His house it cute, and he is doing all of the remodeling himself, and his kids are well behaved. You know he is a good guy when he is already working on Valentines Day cards with his kids. Seriously, he is the PERFECT guy for my sister. We have hung out with their family a couple of times, and I'm hoping that I can convince my sister to hang out with us sometime.

We had a really great weekend other than dealing with the rain. I went to our annual "soup"er bowl to support the local salvation army with my mom for a little mommy daughter time. They have alot of the local resteraunts come and bring their best soup and you just taste test soup for 3 hours. It was so much fun! Then we had 2 couples come over to watch the game and couldn't have had a better time.

DH just got home yesterday and we went to a Superbowl party at new friends that we just met in town. We had fun! They're another fire family, and I really like the girl (we go to swim lessons together), and DH really likes her husband. Whoop! It's so much harder to find friends as adults! Smile

Today DH is studying for an interview/exam tomorrow and I'm going to try to get a bit of work/cleaning/working out done. I sent in an application for a photographer thing and will probably be checking my email for it all day for the outcome today.

WOW, Tisha, you were productive!! And that guy sounds awesome! What is your sister waiting for???

It rained here all weekend also. I went to the dentist on Saturday morning (yuck, but no cavities so YAY), then got a few things done at home and left in the early afternoon for the longest baby shower ever. I was gone from home for 6 hours, so there went most of my day on Saturday.

Sunday the girls and I went to church, DH had to work in the morning. Then I re-arranged the family room to accomodate a new secretary desk I just got that I'm going to try out in there (if that doesn't work I'll move it up to the office, but I'd rather have it downstairs) and then took Sophia out for frozen yogurt. She was upset because I took Layla to the shower the day before and left her at home with daddy so I had to make it up to her by taking her somewhere special the next day and of course she wanted ice cream Wink Then we came home and watched some of the superbowl. No party, just us Biggrin

We had record snowfall here, so we just laid low most the weekend. I had to work Friday night, which was not a fun driving experience in several feet of snow! Saturday, we went to gymnastics.

Yesterday, we hung out around the house. Ava was not feeling great and ended up getting a fever of 104. DH worked on finishing our laundry room. I watched some of Superbowl, and headed out to work after the halftime show.

Today I need to go to the gym and work off my gluttony. Then I need to start getting things ready for Andrew's upcoming Birthday party.

104!! How is she today? Do you know what's going on with her? Poor thing!

No. It was just random. She fell asleep on the couch, which she's never done before. She woke up wanting to cuddle and was roasting! The fever would go down to 99 with Tylenol, then shoot back up as soon as it wore off. Poor little bug! She is totally fine today. Whatever it was, I'm glad it was fast moving and Andrew didn't catch anything either.

I hate when fevers get that high. I always want to take her in, but they don't want to see kids until it reaches 105. Amazing how those little bodies can handle such high fevers!

Fun, Kim!!

(oooh, sorry! just looked back and saw how long this was!)

We had a HORRIBLE weekend! Sunday the 29th I left Noah's backpack in his class at church. This past Saturday on the way into church (after asking at the lost and founds there) Andy reminded me that the camera was in the backpack with our only memory card I hadn't transferred pics from in over 6 months. I was devastated. There was no sign of the backpack anywhere. So I panicked and tried calling around to everywhere we had been, looking for it. Ugh. Then Saturday night I went to dinner and a movie with a couple of friends, it was really awkward but the movie was good. As I was leaving the theater, a guy backed into my car and smashed in my trunk lid. Then Sunday morning, Noah and I both woke up with pinkeye for the SECOND time in less than 2 weeks. So he and I spent much of Sunday at Walgreen's clinic to get meds instead of going to the Superbowl party we were supposed to go to. I was so frustrated, defeated and depressed by this point. For the 2nd time in less than 2 weeks, I scrubbed down my entire house with Lysol (no small task as I have a two story, 2300 square foot house, ugh!), washed all our pillows, bedding, clothes, towels, toys, everything. I swear, I've done a minimum of 25 loads of laundry in 2.5 weeks now. Then Monday, I find out that the guy who hit me is retracting everything he told me. But the week has gotten better. The backpack (with camera!) was found yesterday at church, the guy told almost the real story to my insurance agent and the pinkeye is on the mend. I think it's coming from Noah's school because he's the third kid this week with a recurrence in the same time frame. Still, at least I know my house is germ free! Smile

YIKES, Jess, that WAS a crappy weekend! When I went to pick up Sophia from children's church on Sunday, they had a sign on the door that said that a child in her class had been sent home with pink eye. I was like OH GREAT. Thankfully, she didn't get it (neither of my kids have ever had it, believe it or not). I'm SO glad you found your camera...that would have been the most devastating of everything!

About a year ago we were down at the beach playing. Half way home I reached for the diaper bag to get Z something and realized that I had put it on a rock (right next to a major road) when I was putting Z in his car seat and we forgot it. Our camera was in there with ALL our pictures for the last year. We raced back sure we had lost it but by some miracle it was still sitting there 45 minutes later!

Sorry for a crappy weekend but glad its getting better. Zayden has had pink eye twice and given it to me both times YUCK
