HI (I lurk) But today a question.

How did you PT?

I have PT my older 2 already, but we did EC as infants and then when they started to walk we kept them naked and if they went pee it went on the hardwood and they helped me clean it up. After a bit they learned if they wanted to not have pee going down the leg they would go on the potty. Both where poo tarind at 17 months and not in diapers at all not even at night at 24 months.

Well Heath has so many special needs that I was unable to do EC as an infant and he was not walking good until this spring and now we live with my dad and he has rugs so going naked is not an option. But we are at a stage where he refuses to put on diapers, not disposables or cloth. I put him on the potty and he loves it he even ask to sit sometimes, but he is not going so I can't make a big deal and be all happy that he "did it" ot reward him. Heath holds it for 4-6 hours at a time and then makes a flood so strong and much that most of the time now even if he has a diaper on it leaks .

Today he was taking off the diaper and I asked him "what are you doing?" and he said "go poopy" and then ran to the bathroom (he had started in the diaper) but finished on the potty!!! But the diaper was already wet with pee so he did not pee on the potty. I have tried everything from putting him on it after he takes off a diaper to pouring water over his penis and still I can not get him to relax and pee on the potty. He knows he should go pee on the potty as once he even said while on it "make penis pee" like asking me how to do it.

What type of traing pants do you use?

I was going to say this. We have had lots of different experiences. Some of our kids too months and months and some got it right away. There are some great tips in there that we all picked up along the way.

Thanks I read all the pages. I am doing Heath potty boot camp this week. And after reading I figured we would put a toy car that he loves in the bathroom that he can only hold or "drive" when he is sitting. That got him to sit and we did get a Pee on the potty!!!! Then I did a dance and he got a pez.

Sounds like you found something that will work for him. Toys in the bathroom to "watch" Deacon really worked great for us.
