KRISTEN!!! (Trader Joe's)

Kristen, TJ's opened in The Woodland's today! (that's not far from Jenn) I'm going to go tomorrow, and I haven't been in forever. What should I buy??? (what are your favorite things there)

ETA: or anyone else who shops there?? LOL

So many things I love there! Where do I even begin?

Frozen section I love their edamame (with a hint of salt) so many times we have that as a before dinner snack. Their multigrain waffles make an easy morning, bean & corn enchiladas (when I want a small dinner for myself), love their frozen fish packs too. We used to do Panda Express nights for Survivor, and now I buy Trader Joes orange chicken in the freezer section (still not great for you, but probably a ton better for us + cheaper than Panda Express!) and make rice. Sometimes we get their chicken rolls if I feel like it.

I really like a lot of their produce because everything seems smaller. Bags of organic fruit aren't outrageously priced and if I give Jackson a pear, it's actually small enough that he can finish it, love that.

Some of our pool snack staples are their surf board tortilla chips and guacamole kit. Jackson loves to help make the guacamole.

Honestly it's hard to choose because I pretty much do all of our shopping there! It's just so quick and easy not to have to choose between brands, prices, etc. I know I like everything and am in and out of there so fast.

One of the one and only things I don't like about Trader Joes is that since there is no preservatives in most everything, you have to use it pretty quickly (which yeah, of course food is supposed to go bad). But if I buy hamburger buns and we decide not to do dinner that night, the buns/bread/whatever I've bought will usually go bad.

I went! However, the lines were so long (literally from the front of the store to the back of the store, down each aisle) that i only made it through the produce section and the frozen section. I bought a lot of frozen food, because I took the line that was down the frozen food aisle, so I had plenty of time to browse. LOL I didn't read your post before I went, but I did buy the orange chicken (everyone was talking about it and the sign said it was a customer and staff favorite) and the black bean and cheese taquitos, which both Sophia and I loved. I also bought some green chile and cheese tamales, which were fantastic! I wish I would have gotten more of those. I got some vegetable fried rice and some shrimp fried rice, and we had the vegetable fried rice last night, it was quick and really good. We need fast and easy dinners during the week so that's what I was looking for, while still trying to stay semi-healthy. We'll see what we like and then I'll be back for more!

Thanks for the tips! Too bad this store is almost an hour from me, but at least I can try to stop there whenever I'm in Jenn's neighborhood.

Ooh, black bean and cheese taquitos sound so good!

I just went on Friday. Janet paid since I was buying a lot of food since my cousin was spending the night. We bought all kinds of ice cream desserts, wine, BBQ chicken salads, and lots of cheese. It was the best!
