So, with Jackson, he would NOT take a paci. I had no problem with him having one, they would continuously ask me in the hospital if it was okay. The way he would scream, heck, give him anything to make him stop, I do not care. He would not take one. Around 6 months he started to take one for a little while (I have no idea what made us try again) and we got all excited, but that lasted about a week.
Well, Colby is no Jackson baby. He's pretty much an angel most of the times. He's cranky in the evenings, but I think he's going through his 2 week growth spurt and if I stick him in the Moby he always calms down. We did try one in the hospital with Colby when he was under the bili lights all by himself. I'm not sure if he was too young, but he would spit it out after a minute.
But, my question is to those of you who've used pacifiers. Is it worth it? I mean now that they've had it long enough to have to take it away? Would you do it again? When would you use it? Would you change anything about how/when you used it?
I cannot decide (since I have no experience with pacifiers) if I should try to use one with Colby or just power through. My mom keeps saying it would be easy to give up at our house, since there are so many distractions when he gets older, but I'm not so sure about that. I mean, what if he got really attached to it? Would it be worth it if he's already a pretty easy baby?
