What do you plan to make for Thanksgiving? Do you go to your relatives and let them do all the cooking or do you bring food too?
We're going to my IL's and as far as I know, she's making everything. One year I made rolls, another I made dessert, but generally MIL makes it all. It's just going to be the 5 of us (MIL, FIL, DH, me, Noah), so it wouldn't even be a big deal to do anything for it. The years we go back east or to my parents', I obviously can't bring anything, but I do help cook all day.
We go to 3 Thanksgiving dinners, and despite my offering to bring food we never have to. It's great!
hmmm not sure what will happen since we will be at a friend's family's house.
I normally try to bring deviled eggs. The good part about bringing them, is there is never any leftovers to bring home. I usually bring 2 other items, but they are always something different.
I have no idea if we are going anywhere or not. We usually plan that like the day before  But I love to make all the side dishes and DH likes to make the turkey so even if we end up going somewhere, we still cook our own full meal sometime during the weekend. I also love to make pies, mainly pumpkin. Now I'm getting excited to cook
We are having it at my house with the three of us and maybe my mom and grandparents. I've made it clear that no one else can come - pretty nice hu? I just can't deal with a big holiday this year. I think we are going to buy most of the food this year and I'll make the dressing and green bean casserole. Other than that its store bought or brought by my mom or granny.
We always go to my IL's (lunch time) and to my Brother's (dinner time). My MIL makes everything, however I always offer to make something and most of the time will take a side dish. Last year I made baked carrots. Yum! They are so good. Then my Mom and SIL make most of the food for dinner, however, I always take a side or two.
We will be home, DH works the over night shift that night and will pick up his mom on the way home who will spend the day, he will sleep and the girls and I will cook and then we'll eat before he goes back to bring his mom home and go to work again, then we decorate for Christmas. Might even start on Thanskgiving to keep my MIL and the girls busy while I cook.
I do all the cooking and LOVE it, going to do it weight watcher friendly this year and it will still be amazing!
