QOTD Thursday

If you were making a PB&J sandwich - what kind of PB or J would you use?

I've been eating this a lot lately, hence the question. Wink

I use white wheat bread, Jiff PB and blackberry jelly. I like the PB to outweigh the jelly. YUM!

LOL I'm eating one right now!

I have whole wheat bread, Skippy peanut butter and store brand grape jelly.

Oh, we're going to look so crunchy. We use whole grain bread with flax, and Trader Joes organic peanut butter and organic blackberry preserves. The peanut butter is the kind you have to mix to separate. If I'm really splurging, we'll have it on sourdough. Totally depends on my mood whether I want the peanut butter or jelly to have more!

I'm so particular on my PB&J sandwiches LOL

I only eat white bread (and it has to be super fresh... Doug gets so mad at me b/c I always test my bread at the store before I buy it) When I'm going for his wheat bread on the shelf at the store he always yells "Don't squeeze my bread" LOL

I use Jif Creamy PB and Welches Grape Jelly. I have to have the PB & Jelly even and I don't like thick coats of it LOL

I love white bread and also it has to be super fresh. I do like both chunky and creamy pb, but if I were to make this today I'd use creamy. Grape jelly.

WHAT?! Your kid doesn't eat peanut butter?!

Ok Magali - tell us what you eat. What kinds of things do you eat that we probably don't.

Magali, I'm totally curious about French food. Like what is your normal lunch? We do PB&J as our backup lunch, but I'm getting more and more bored with the lunches we're having and would love more ideas!

I never like PB&J as a kid so I don't eat it. I'm sure I'd be fine with it now but just don't really eat it. Alyssa, however, LOVES them! We usually have store brand PB (or whatever is on sale) and right now we have Smuckers grape jelly.

We are mostly the same. I am TJ's all the way, and organic if that's available. I can't stand white bread, for anything, so probably TJ's whole wheat, or multigrain bread. We used to get the PB that separates, but I think now we switched back to the "regular" kind.

I rarely eat PB&J, but Aasha sort of likes it, and DH eats them more frequently. If I make it, I think it's equal parts PB vs. J.

Yes, Magali, what French stuff do you eat?

Jiff creamy peanut butter with strawberry jelly. Lately, I have been craving crunchy peanut butter, but we get the ginormous jars from Costco that come in a 2 pack, and we are only just about done with jar number 1. For bread, we get fresh sandwich rolls from the bakery a couple times a week. I like a little more peanut butter than jelly.

Skippy reduced fat creamy PB with raspberry preserves (at least that's what we have now, I also like strawberry and grape jelly). On wheat bread. I love white bread but don't eat it since it's not really healthy.

Oh, and I hate crunchy PB and PB that separates! Yech.

Sophia doesn't really like PB and J so we rarely eat it. She loves PB on celery, though!

I don't usually eat pb&j, but if I did: Publix brand light wheat bread w/ creamy peanut butter and my mom's homemade raspberry preserves.

I have given Lily pb&j a couple times, but she doesn't seem to like it that much so I don't ever make it for her any more.

My girls won't eat them, goodness knows why, but I love them. Someone told me the other day, they eat theirs fried in a pan like a grilled cheese! I still want to try that!

If you look crunchy, I'm going to sound super crunch. We do organic, freshly ground peanut butter (ground ourselves at Whole Foods) and Organic sugar-free strawberry jelly mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with pureed fresh fruit on organic wheat bread.

I'm not a big health nut, by any means, but PBJ is is one of the 3 foods Ava will eat so I try to cut out all the processed ingredients I can.

My girls are not suppose to try nuts until they are 3, so PB&J doesn't really happen at my house. If I were to have it, it would be on a really fresh bread with natural peanut butter and strawberry jam.

My girls don't seem to like it to much but I LOVE white bread with extra creamy PB and strawberry jam. Although I tend not to eat it anymore since its so many calories lol. But when I do I just use whole wheat since we really never buy white bread anymore lol.
