What is your favorite thing about the town you live in?
Feels funny to call Houston a town.
But I guess I like how many good restaurants there are here, and also the racial diversity that did not exist where I lived before (Orange County, CA)
Can I give two or is that breaking the rules?
You can say two, since they are both good answers
I like all the places to eat too but in my town (not H-town) I like how it looks. Like Market Street and that general area, I like the outdoor play areas with the water shooting out of the ground, the fun places to eat and the mall. I love our mall!
Well I could have said Cypress, but I don't know...it all feels like Houston to me
Well I feel like my area is so freaking far from Houston, lol. I was thinking you would consider the area you guys go to where that African restaurant is. Or your main street with 50 million stores by the old house. I loved that! Everything was so close when I needed to go shopping.
I love the fact we live 30 miles out of it !!!!
Magali - I use to be like that too. I grew up in a small town where you had to drive for 20-25 minutes to get to the nearest anything. It was nice when I lived there and when I retire I would like to live some place like that again.
I love the diversity and that there are so many things to do. We can wake up one day and pretty much most things we would ever want to do are here. I love that we are close to so much --mountains, desert, ocean, LA. There are great museums, schools, hospitals, any resource we want or need. Sorry, that's not just one either! LOL
Amy, I'll tell you the one I would have said about your "town"..... THE WEATHER! To. Die. For
Well I thought that went without saying!
All my family is right here.
I love that it is small, and not a rich town. I think growing up in an expensive area is difficult if you happen to live there (like we do renting wise), but can't keep up with the Jones' IYKWIM?
I love that the girls will grow up knowing everyone and everyone will know them. We are a 1 mile town surrounded by a huger town but I couldn't ask for anything else. I truly love where I live and wouldn't move even if I could afford it, I would just re-model the house we are in.
I love how downtown still has that old town feel to it, and some of it still looks as it did when I was young, I also love being close to the Ocean and also fairly close to Boston and Cape Cod.
