Same with Amy - yeah right! I'll start after Thanksgiving is over. Since we shop online and get free shipping I don't feel so rushed.

I think this year all the kids will get games - like it or not - and the adults will get whatever we find at the time.

Yes. Thanks to Christmas shopping being put in my brain several months ago by certain people on TTCFTFTG. Wink

I have shopping done for 6 members of my extended family. Gifts that didn't require a whole lot of thought (and one is a regift). I even considered wrapping them, but I think the kids would open them if I did.

For the kiddos, we'll do a family membership somewhere, something to read-I'm thinking Where the Wild Things Are for Andrew. I cannot believe we don't own that book! and probably some clothes or a small toy.

In the last few months DH and I bought all new furniture for the whole house, finished our basement, redid the backsplash in the kitchen and plan on enlarging our patio out back with stamped concrete in the spring. So I think we'll just do very small useful items for Christmas, jsut to have something to unwrap with the kiddos.

For the first time in my life I can say YES I have LOL! But just 1 gift for Kayla and 1 for Ava Douglas. I got Kayla this really cool dress form for her bedroom. She has all these Vogue poster/pictures and a wire dress form and I thought she would really love it so I swiped it up. And Ava Douglas is getting the new LeapPad (that Kim got Claire for her birthday) and I thought the closer it got to Christmas the harder it would be to find or find at all.

This Christmas is going to be a little skimpy compared to previous ones. Money is really tight because of the new house and Kayla being in college. Doug and I don't exchange gifts and his family goes by the rule that only kids get gifts until age of 18 and there is only one nephew that we have to buy for and then my immediate family.

This year is going to be really fun. Christmas Eve we have a huge get together at my brothers house with friends and family and do a White Elephant?? gift exchange and eat. Last Christmas it was decided that everyone is going to dress up as a character from Christmas Vacation and supposedly my brother is going to try and get a run down RV to put out front.

I have started over the summer, bought DH a couple of books, and got each of the girls something already. My niece and nephew are done already too! I love early shopping!

I just started a week ago. I've gotten Jackson 2 stocking stuffers from Michaels, both with 40% off coupons (a little watercolor set and a tube of sea animals for the bath). I keep asking Donnie what he wants because I already know a few things I want. We'll try to stay small though.

Not really. I ordered Josh a few stocking stuffers and also got my nieces princess dresses to wear when I take them for princess make-overs.

That is really funny.

Hopefully we can do Christmas a little smaller this year. Last year we had 7 Christmas parties, and Cora was a newborn. I have bought a couple of gifts. Mostly I've just been writing down lists. I'm afraid if I buy them too early people can't return them We draw names for my side and dh's side, so I don't know who I will be buying for yet. Dh was reading my list the other day and saw "**** Pedicure" on the list, and made some jokes about it. I want to get my fil (****) a gift certificate for a pedicure, since he always tell me he hasn't had one before but would like one.

Only in as much as we decided on one gift for Noah and that's all he's getting other than stocking stuffers, and it was only $55. We'll get my nieces and nephew one cheap (under $20) gift each and then we're done. We don't buy for each other or any adults on either side of the family, nor do we buy for friends. And the only other kids in the family we won't see for Christmas this year, so we get out of buying them gifts (they live in Kansas and I am not paying shipping, plus they're all older teenagers, so I count them as adults, lol). Yes, we're totally cheap and totally Scrooges, but really, it's the kids that count. What we do instead is adopt a family through church and/or get several "Angel Tree" gifts.
