RQOD -- Thursday

What are your New Years Resolutions if you do them.

What were your New Years Resolutions last year? Did you keep them?

Okay, three random questions.

Last year it was to run 525 miles, and I smashed that goal! :woohoo: I also resoulted (is that a word?) to not let little things bother me and to be more kind to others. I think I did a fairly good job doing those too.

This year I think my resolutions will be:
-To run at least 750 miles.
-To be a better Mother and wife.
-To do more races. Last year I did 2 half marathons and a few 5K's, so that should be easy to beat.

Since you asked, no Smile Resolute is a word but in the past tense you would say resolved. And WOW you have some good resolutions!

I don't really make new year's resolutions but I am ALWAYS trying to be more patient with my kids. It's a motherhood resolution I guess. And of course, I will get "back on the bandwagon" of trying hard to lose weight after the holidays. That's about it.

I didn't really make any resolutions last year but I have quite a few for this year.

I have already lost 50 pounds, and plan to loose the last 50 before the summer! WOOHOO!

I am working very hard on being a better mother.

I will continue to put myself first.

I need to make a decision regarding my relationship with DH, it's time to stop crying and start fixing and moving on.

I would like to STOP being disorganized, it is having a horrific effect (affect?) on my kids and our everyday well being. None of us finish what we start and the house is always a mess and something is ALWAYS missing. I've had it.

In order to accomplish the one before this I need to stay home more and stop escaping reality by staying out all day long.

I need to also face the fact that I need to work out. I bought my first Weight Watcher Exercise Kit and am going to start with that one, I hope to be able to one day afford the gym membership that I want that has classes, swimming and daycare. Need to save up for that one!

I'm adding a resolution for Gabby - POTTY TRAINING, LOL. No more diapers for me, for the first time in 8 years, lol!

Our plans for NYE is to spend it with friends who DH and I both get along with (very rare) and the girls love their children, it will be the first time in 9 years that we are out for NYE, I'm so excited and we will only be a quarter of a mile from the house and if the kids fall asleep they can stay there!

I don't make resolutions because I can't keep them...

And for New Years plans, I hope to be sleeping. Smile

I don't typically make resolutions b/c I don't usually keep them!
I always say I'd like to floss more (yes I know coming from the dental professional, no I don't floss!!) But that never lasts!

This year I'd really love to lose about 40lbs, 50 would be better! We have a little bet, or challenge I guess going at work that a few of us would like to lose 10lbs by the middle of Feb.

I also really like Amber's of being a better wife/mother. I've been butting heads with Alyssa SO MUCH lately that I want to just start being more patient and calm with her. That girl knows how to get under my skin! I'm afraid of what it will be like in 10 years!

I find for myself, instead of making weight loss goals that I get frusterated by when I cannot keep them, I make health goals. (eat more veggies and less sugar, run more, sleep more) when I meet those smaller goals it gives me motivation to make the next step too. Smile

You're right smaller goals help, that's how I lost the 50 pounds in 5 months, smaller goals so it doesn't seem so unattainable. Will continue for the last 50.
