RQOTD - Monday

With birthdays upon us...

What do you do with all of the greeting cards you receive? Do you still have all of your wedding cards? How about the cards your child(ren) have received? Toss them? Recycle them? Save them? If you save them, how do you store them?

I toss most of them, however, I do keep a few from different milestones. I have some of our wedding cards, I might even have a few from when Greg and I were dating (we've been toghether for almost 16 years), Josh's first birthday, christening, etc. They are all in a closet with old pictures and things.

I have all of our wedding cards in a pretty box, along with a few photos, my head piece and a few souveniers from our honeymoon.

I saved all of the cards we received when we brought Josh home saved in his baby book. Also have all of his cards from his first birthday in a small box along with the balloons, candle, birthday banner and photo album.

Wedding cards, baby shower cards and Christmas cards I save. I save every christmas card and store it with the christmas decorations. If its a photo card I like seeing the people from year to year.

Wedding cards are in a tote somewhere. Baby cards for Deacon are in his little storage box and Kara's cards are still on the kitchen counter.

I will hold onto birthday cards for the longest time before feeling like a hoarder and tossing them.

I keep all Christmas photo cards, like Jenn I keep them with the Christmas decorations. I also keep any that I know a lot of thought when into. Those are all in a bin, needing to be sorted. Everything else goes to recycle.

Cards are so pricy any more! Now that I have the kiddos, I just have them make something for most occasions instead of buying a store bought card. I think they are cuter, more heart felt, and save a bunch of money!

True! I don't give cards at all anymore and I use to LOVE buying cards. Its ridiculous to try to save money by buying a cheap gift and after you buy the bag, tissue and card you have more than doubled your cost!

I usually reuse bags I have and use a regular piece of construction paper or something for the TO/FROM part to take to the bag. Cheap, easy and no one feels obligated to keep the "card". Smile

I have all of my wedding cards and special cards from the kids. I have all of the kids holiday cards and birthday cards. They each have a memory bin.

I have kept some of the more special cards packed away in totes, but we don't get/receive them really anymore. Like for Noah's bday, he only got 2 cards. :/ I only ever send them out for Christmas/New Years anymore, I don't really send bday cards to anyone.

Okay -- so Im late Smile

I keep them. Right now, I have them in various shoe boxes. I have Christmas cards, wedding cards, even bday cards between DH and I. I want to evenutally put them in scrapbooks but I need to get better at writing dates on them.
