RQOTD Monday

So, the credit/debit card swipers when you're checking out, does anybody actually try to write your name well on those?

I am so fed up with them working horribly, I just scribble on them. Does anybody else do this or do people try to make it look legible?

I scribble. And if Sophia's with me, she usually insists on signing it so I let her do it and just help her get it in the box. The whole signature thing is so dumb to me...is anyone actually verifying that it's my signature? I think not. Such a waste of time.

Ptthhhh LOL

I scribble a giant A for everything --credit card machines and and credit card receipts alike! Its not like they ever actually check them and if anyone actually writes out my name, I would know its a forgery LOL

Wow, I feel like a goody-goody! I always try to sign. I take what I get, though, so sometimes it doesn't look anything like my signature. Maybe I'm lucky, but most of the places I go to have machines that do a decent job.

I'm right-handed. Often time I sign with my left hand. And, by sign I mean scribble. I don't even attempt to write my name anymore.

LOL, this is me, too! I thought if it doesn't look like mine it won't be accepted.

ha! same here! I most often use debit so just have to enter my pin and not sign.

Whats worse though is signing those stupid UPS and FedEx pads! (I occasionally have to for work).

Can you use your debit card as credit? That's what I do to avoid fees.

When I use my debit card and they say "debit or credit?" I always say "I don't care" because it doesn't cost me anything extra either way. Sometimes the business (especially small businesses) have a preference because it costs them more if you use one vs the other, so I just let them decide. To me it's the same hassle to scribble or enter my pin.

I try to somewhat sign my name to look loke my real signature. I also always chose credit over debit because I get double points from my bank for that, which I can trade in for cash or gift cards. LOVE my bank!
