Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow, etc.

Josh asks 50,000 questions a day (as I'm sure you can relate). Right now he's obsessed with trying to figure out the meanings of "Today, Yesterday and Tomorrow". As we were playing last night he says "is it tomorrow?" "when is it going to be tomorrow?", so I try to explain that when he wakes up from going night night that it will be tomorrow. Then on the way to school this morning he says "is it tomorrow?" So my response was, "well it's yesterday's tomorrow, but now it's today". How confusing this must be for him. LOL

He's also trying to figure out the seasons and asks why its Fall and when will it be Winter, etc.

Anyone else trying to explain these things?

That's great that he's asking all that stuff!! For Sophia, everything is yesterday. "I was sick yesterday" (aka a month ago) "I ate macaroni and cheese yesterday" (aka last week) Even if it was something she did an hour ago, she will tell everyone she did it yesterday. I always talk her through the days of the week so we can both look forward to the weekend, but maybe I should spend more time working on today, tomorrow, and yesterday Smile

I cracked up at "well, it's yesterday's tomorrow" I can only imagine how confusing that would be for a 3 year old!

Oh gosh, so glad that Noah isn't doing this! Because when we do get in a "round robin" of questions/conversation, it's so frustrating, but hilarious at the same time. Hopefully Josh waits awhile for the "birds and the bees" conversation, lol.

NOAH: I not go home.
ME: Well, where do you want to go then?
NOAH: No go home.
ME: Then where should we go?
NOAH: No home.
ME: Noah, we have to go home.
NOAH: OK.

Zayden's is just why, why this why that why why why why

Or what does "FILL IN THE BLANK" mean? if we use a word he doesn't know though sometimes he is starting with words I think might be French so I have no idea.

Yesturday, today, tomorrow are hard topics! Good for him for trying to understand that

Yeah, we're dealing with an insane amount of questions here, too. Jude is very curious about what comes next and will ask, "what we doing next?" Once I answer, he'll ask, "And after that?" until I sometimes give him our schedule for the next two days. He's also interested in learning about time, too. This morning he said, "We go there yester-night!" I laughed, but then thought...well, that makes a lot of sense. We say yesterday, why wouldn't we also say yesternight? Smile

Lots of questions here, too! Not so much the today, yesterday, tomorrow, but WHY, WHY, WHY. Oh my gosh. Sometimes I just tell him to go ask daddy why. So then he walks over to dh and asks him why. ROFL
