What's up this weekend? Any birthday parties?
It's deer hunting opening weekend so I won't see my dh too much. We're also having Miles' birthday party on Sunday, so lots of cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. Dh will cut his hunting short on Sunday of course.
Tonight, we're going out to dinner and birthday/Christmas shopping (anybody ever hear of something called squackles? My spelling is way off, but I spelled it the way it was told to me and the way it sounds. I guess they're sold by the Polly Pockets?). Tomorrow we're going to a "Sip and See" for a friend's new-ish baby (he's like...8 weeks old, I think) and to church. Sunday will be the usual laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning and football.
Ashley: my dh has been hunting since the beginning of October. Everybody asks if I mind him being away so much but really it's a nice break for me LOL I don't have to fix "real" dinners. But in Virginia you cannot hunt on Sundays so he's always back on Sunday morning.
Tomorrow (Ava's actual birthday) we are going to my nephew's last football game and it's under the lights at University of Richmond (kind of a big deal) and then Sunday Doug and I are taking her to Chuck E Cheese for pizza and some games early in the afternoon and then around 6 we are having a small, family birthday party for Ava. I decided to go low-key and low price for her birthday this year. She's going to be totally overwhelmed with gifts and I just figured why spend all that money on decorations, favors or a place to hold the party if I don't have to LOL
There is a "children museum" thing Saturday I wanted to go but the forecast is for snow so we will see .. how much we get and then the cold should come and drop to 25 below by Monday so depending how Saturday look I will go...
Sunday not much just hanging out here training dogs
Mel - did deer hunting season start in Oct or bow season? I know my brother goes bow hunting in Oct and deer hunting opens soon, maybe this weekend too?!
Ashley - I am eager to see your pictures from Miles' party.
Jessica - I've never heard of squakles (sp?) But then again I never shop for girls unless we go to a bday party and even then its a quick trip down the all pink aisle.
Magali - snow...as usual...that seems so odd to me. Its 70 degrees here today.
Tomorrow I have my baby shower and I'm looking forward to that. Sunday I'm sure Justin will watch football all day and I will go shopping with my mom to return a few things and to get a few things for Deacon's little party. Like Mel, its low key this year so I just need to get a few small decorations to make it seem like a bigger deal than it is.
This is the last weekend before we move, so no plans outside of the house really. I am doing all of mine and Josh's laundry and packing it away in drawers and only keeping out what we need for the three days until we move.
Can't wait for pics!!!
Today Colby and I are starting swimming lessons I said I wasn't going to start him until after next summer, but found a new friend who's 6 month old is in the class and she convinced me to start. Should be fun to see Colby in the pool, he loves it and the pool where their lessons are (Jackson's lessons are here too) is heated!
As for the weekend, not too much! Session today and one Sunday. Editing and starting to get Janet's stuff ready to move Tuesday!
Jenn's shower tomorrow (YAY!) and other than that just continuing to work on the house. I would like to get a few pictures hung on the wall this weekend? We have NOTHING (like, not one thing) on the walls, and we have been there for 6 weeks now. Oh wait, there is one thing on the wall in the guest room that my dad hung when he was there.
I hate hanging things when my DH is involved. If it's me, I will just grab a nail and throw it up. Not him...he has to get out the stud finder, the drill, and 9 other heavy duty tools. An hour later, we're lucky if we have one picture hung.
OH! I also want to go to Children's Place cause I have a gift card from Sophia's birthday that I just found, and she needs long-sleeved shirts for winter.
Mel, we're going low-key too. I kind of have it made with Bill hunting because he doesn't travel far for it. He hunts within about 10 miles from our house, so that's nice he just goes out at sunlight, usually out for lunch with his buddies, home for a bit, back out in the woods until dusk. And that's only these first 2 weekends in November so it's not too bad.
Jenn, have fun at your baby shower!
Magali, I can't believe how much snow you guys have already! We're supposed to get a little bit on Sunday with some rain.
Dani, good luck w/the move! That seems like that was a quick sale.
Tomorrow we are going house hunting, again. Man thats getting old. DH and I are still not in agreement where to live, he made me drive out yesturday after work (so in rush hour) to the area he wants to live and one of hte houses we looked at. Ummmm 45 min and that wasn't even in real traffic --I used to drive one part of it daily and KNOW that it is usually much worse. I didn't tell him no but last night he started looking more in the areas I want. Still have long commute but if traffic is bad, I would have the option of jumping on the train to get home and just leaving my car here.
Sunday.. .maybe get Z a hair cut need to start working around the house more so if we do move its not such a pill.
ETA Tonight we were invited to a "cocktail party" at the home of one of the trustees at school. DH is mad I accepted cause he thinks its probably just fundraising (which it probably is) but I think it will be fun --or at least interesting. Never been invited to a cocktail party before! LOL
