Shellyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy my savior! Sorry you are feeling sick still!! It's nice that you have been able to take so much time off work (although I know you would rather be feeling better!) Is it still the sinus stuff??

I have some kind of stupid stomach bug but I'm at work because I'm out of PTO. So I'm just sitting her refusing to do anything work related, because I would rather be at home in bed ;(

I think it's alternating between sinus infection & something viral. Sorry to hear you're not well either and that you have to stay at work. that really sucks. yeah I'm lucky I had all that leave, but now frankly I don't know if I have any left. I was hoping to save it for maternity leave because I don't get any special maternity leave but who knows what will happen now.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'm kinda here. And sick too. Sad I also think I'm getting a sinus infection. Plus, last night I had a horrible migarine and today my throat is sore and everytime I get up, I'm dizzy.

THEN, I had to run to work this morning, and the second I walked back in the door at home, Ava threw up all over DH (who was holding her). Lovely.

I'm really glad DH is actually home today. I would not survive without him.

And not fun for DH to get puked on! But I'm with you....glad he's home!!

lol! No, not literally. I just had to go to a recertification, so I was only there for a hour or so.

Weird so many of us are sick. I think part of my problem is my allergies. I need to get some new medication. Zyrtec D is just not cutting it anymore.

Hi! Lots of sickness! Miles and dh both have colds. I'm hoping I don't get it. I'm sure I will since I've been so sleep deprived lately. Also still trying to recover from the busy wknd.

HA! Amber, I totally thought you meant RUN to work! I'm cracking up. I mean, you are a runner, after all! LOL Now that I read it again I have no idea why I took you literally....obviously I'm brain damaged Wink

Hi Ash! Both of my kiddos just got over being sick, and here I was kissing all over them yesterday before I knew I had this stomach virus. I was really nauseous then but thought it was something I ate. I'm praying they don't get it.

How is Vivian?? Almost a month old already!

I hope you guys all feel better. We are all well thank God minus a few allergies and a cough, but nothing terrible. We have been in pj's since Christmas Day. I did get out for a few hours by myself this morning, mani, pedi and eyebrow wax then ran to the grocery store. Now we are just watching DVD's and eating junk food (not me, the girls), and DH is working overnights this week so he's upstairs sleeping.

I'm enjoying a week off of school for the girls, we needed a break from the running around!

Hope your feeling better soon.

And you are all probably off line now that I am here! I was in court two hours away all morning Sad Just got back into my office. I am also STILL sick, and EXHAUSTED because Z is sick --he came to bed with us last night at 230 am and the only thing that made him happy was cuddling with (i.e. laying on top of) mommy. Poor baby --course I got NO sleep after that and really had trouble falling asleep so I am operating on like 2 hours sleep max! Sad

Oh gosh, sorry Amy!!! I would definitely not be able to sleep with Sophia sleeping on top of me! Did you get any more sleep last night? Man, the kids being sick SUCKS and there is a lot of that crud going around right now. I am so thankful that Layla is actually healthy right now...she was sick for like 6 weeks straight and she sleeps like crap when she's sick. The past 4 nights she has slept through the night, and what a relief that has been since I have been feeling horrible.

I still feel horrible so I made a doctor's appt for today. I don't have the flu, and I don't think it's a stomach virus either because I think the kids would have gotten it by now. I was kissing all over them at the beginning when I thought it was just something I ate on Christmas! I took my blood pressure this morning and it was 95/62 which is pretty low for me so I don't know...maybe something else is going on. I'm going to stop taking my migraine meds (I've already stopped my birth control) and see if any of those are causing it.

Since I am still sick I can't say I got any more sleep last night --but Z slept through the night at least. I got up at 12:30 with a huge coughing fit and finally chugged some Nyquil. After that I was able to sleep. Ugg

I hope everybody feels better soon!

Carrie, good for you for steering clear of Kara until you're heatlhy - even though I know you're dying to see her! There were so many sick people at our family gatherings. Sneezing (obviously...now dh and Miles both have colds), making millions of trips into the bathroom. Gross. I was kind of peeved about it since Vivi is so new. I just hope she doesn't get sick. I think she would have already, so hopefully we're in the clear.
-- I can't believe Vivi is going to be a month old tomorrow! She is doing great. She seems huge to me already, not like a newborn. She's seriously the best baby ever - only cries when she's hungry, or if she has a burp hanging out in her. She's up about every 2.5-3 hours at night (has done a few 4 hour stretches) but goes right back down after she eats. She is the sweetest, Miles loves her.

Magali, I hope Florian gets back to himself soon! It's a lot to take in in a few short days.

Ash - I love your update. So nice to hear good stuff! Vivi sounds like a dream, yay! How's nursing going this time around for you, so far? I know it got pretty rough later on with Miles.

Ashley, I will NEVER understand why someone would come around a new baby when they're sick!! Another friend of mine had a baby a few weeks ago (around the same time you had Vivi) and I didn't get to see the baby for about a week because Layla was sick so I was not going to risk it at all. Some other friends, on the other hand, brought their snot nosed and coughing everywhere kid over to their house to see the baby THE DAY AFTER SHE GOT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL! I mean, WHAT can you possibly be thinking??? She wanted to smack them and so did I!! And what is hilarious is that these same people, when their son was brand new, wouldn't even let anyone visit them or see the baby until he was like a month old cause they were such germ freaks. Apparently they have forgotten all of that in the past two years. So annoying.

Vivi does sound like a dream! Layla was that kind of baby too, it was fantastic! She still is very easy but just in the past few weeks has started being a little "high maintenance", at least compared to what I'm used to from her. I'm not sure if it is because she was sick, teething, or if her REAL personality is starting to come out now. lol

This would piss me off. It's one thing if they were clueless all around (not that that's ok), but flip flopping like this would make me really mad. So hypocritical.

Oh my, that would peeve me! The nerve of some people!

Shelly, nursing is going great! Just in the last week it finally doesn't hurt at all. She has been a pro nurser from the start. I'm really proud of myself because I haven't given her a bottle at all yet. My mom on the other hand, is annoyed at that, LOL. She keeps asking me if I've practiced the bottle with her yet so they can babysit. Duh. Like I'm really going to leave her anytime soon?!?! I'm in no hurry to give her a bottle, I am still sick of pumping from pumping all the time for Miles. ROFL

So good to hear that update Ash!

I have to laugh with Adrienne, we have sorta the opposite issue. When Z was born she and I had screaming matches about people being around Z sick. I bought all kinds of sterilizers and hand wipes and she would refuse to use it cause in her mind we have overdone stuff like that and germs were good for kids and if we kept them too sterile etc etc etc. I would get SO upset (and at the time they were living with us if you remember LOL)

NOW....jump ahead to current, Age carries around a huge bottle of sterilizer in her bag, if you are sick you cannot be in the same room. etc. Not that I disagree with that but its night and day from where she was when Z was born. -- seriously flip flopping though I know its totally different when you have your own kid!

I agree, some germs are good, to an extend. Building immune systems by being around everyday germs = good. Passing on colds and Flu to anyone, expecially a baby makes you an a$$. If you're sick- stay home! No one wants your cooties.

ROFL No, that is just one of those times that I took the higher road and smirked to myself while being presented with hand sanitizer.
