34 week check up and random stuff

I have one more bi weekly appointment left!!! My appointment today was great. I am the same weight I was last time, and they aren't concerned about that, because I have been keeping my sugars in check and had extra weight to begin with. I am still bouncing between 4-6 lbs above my pre-preggo weight. Baby is measuring good, and her heart rate is good too. My bp was awesome! I am just nervous because I was 36 weeks when my bp started to go up with Jack, and then 37 weeks my FIL died and my bp never went down. I have been paranoid about someone dying during this pregnancy...I know its silly...and I don't want pre-e again either!!!

I am a little bummed that right after the c-section baby will have to go upstairs to the nursery with dh, and I won't be able to nurse her as soon as I would like. The nurses in recovery just don't really deal with newborns that much, so I can understand that. Sad Hopefully I get stitched up fast and am out of recovery pretty quickly. At least this time it won't be like 1 a.m.!!! haha!

I got motivated today and got the rest of my stuff out of my attic. Probably shouldn't have been moving heavy bins around, but I found my skinny girl clothes (from back when I got married--and was 35 lbs lighter, but a very unhealthy smoker), found all of ds's baby boy stuff, and the other random stuff like baby bottles, the bassinette (which I am just going to lend to my sis in law), the swaddle wrap, etc. I have a couple of tubs to go through for clothes that are good for baby girls, and then I can organize the boy stuff (again) and the girl stuff that is too big for right now. I think I am also going to bring a sharpie up there and mark all the tubs so I know what's in them and don't have to unpile them and look next time!!!

I`m glad you had a great 36-wk appointment! Sorry you will have to wait for cuddles with your LO after caesarian :(. Sending quick stitch & recover vibes for you! Great work in the attic with all the stuff, definitely good idea to take that sharpie. I just unburied some other maternity clothes yesterday, lol.

I found some maternity clothes in a space bag three weeks ago...I had torn apart the attic earlier this summer looking for them. They were shorts and capris and a couple pairs of pants...and I had to re-buy them because I couldn't find them...but go figure, they were in a storage night stand I hadn't opened in a while!!!

I'm glad you had a good appointment! I've got my fingers and toes crossed that the pre-e stays away!

Thanks Jenni! It was just so scary before, and my bp never got *that* high--bottom number was in the 80's I think, top was in the 130-145 range...but high enough for alert and extra monitoring. My last couple bp's were the best they have been in a LONG time, even when I am not pregnant!

Congrats on your good appt! I'm sorry that baby won't be able to be with you right away... that would really bother me.

Gratz on a good appointment - I'm glad your blood pressure is holding steady. And good for you with the weight gain - you'll leave the hospital lighter than you started AND with a sweet baby!

BTW, I'm also an ex-smoker. Quitting was the hardest thing I've ever done. *high fives*
