Is anyone buying maternity clothes yet?

i bought some of my first maternity clothes today. i dont think im ready to wear them yet, but my jeans and stuff are making me really uncomfortablle, so i got two pairs of maternity jeans, two pairs of shorts, some comfy elastic pants , and two dresses. i think im going to start wearing the elastic pants asap, my bellys been hurting.

Buying them? Hah! I've already been wearing mine! Dirol All the clothes I'm wearing in my pics on the belly thread are maternity (except my pjs). I don't buy big bulky shirts though. I like the closer fit.

I already have a few pieces in my wardrobe from my last preg, and Ive been acquiring 2nd hand stuff from online auctions. A lot of my jeans are low waisted so they are still comfortable and the other pants I have have elastic waists Smile

I need to buy maternity pants cause my regular pants don't fit, but right now I am just wearing sweats every day.

I dont do maternity clothes.Even shirts really. I am a big girl so it works out well for me that I havent previously gotten huge.I just bought jeans with eleastic and all my regular shirts fit still. This time I am buying cotton stretchy capris to get me though and a few pairs of elastic pants. I am also going to be able to buy regular tanks as well. This time is a little different though as I have lost weight and started to wear my clothes with a little tighter fit than the last 3 times I was pregnant so I might have to just invest in more shirts.

NO! not yet! i'm only 10 weeks though so nowhere near showing. i have only the tiniest bit of a pooch so definitely don't need maternity yet. thank goodness b/c i bought a bunch of clothes for my vacation not knowing i was pregnant! also, i'm going to a wedding tomorrow and my dress is kind of tight. by the end of the night i'm sure i'll be more bloated looking than usual though.

i didn't start wearing maternity clothes with my first until about 16 weeks and even then i probably didn't need to - i just was so excited about wearing maternity that i put them on. lol! it's funny because now i'm hoping to wait as long as possible!!

i found that kohl's and target had really good maternity clothes for a decent price. destination maternity is good but sometimes really overpriced!

I'm with you Nancy as long as I can stay in regular clothing I will! I have a pair of jeans a size bigger from post pregnancy too so I figure I'll be able to wear those casually too. I was never a big fan of maternity stuff

I love maternity clothes Smile But I only buy the cute stuff!

I switched to maternity at 8 weeks. Some things that are extra stretchy non-maternity I am still wearing, but all pants are maternity.

I have some jeans that are a bit stretchy, so I can wear them. My non-stretchy capris and shorts are uncomfortable at this point. I have honestly kept a couple of maternity t-shirts out since I was pregnant before, and love them-I need more! I like longer t-shirts anyhow-I've got a big chest and find that shorter shirts are made shorter by them!

I have dug out some maternity clothes from the attic, but they really are too big for me, especially since I am not telling people yet, and they scream "I am pregnant!!!!" So, I'll just suffer for a few more weeks.

I have been wearing pants for a bit, my old clothes were just too uncomfortable.

I'm 10 weeks and I'm starting to wear bigger shirts. I'm shopping for pants this weekend! This is baby #5 for me... my doc says showing early is not that unusual for subsequent pregs.

Here is a question for all you wise 2nd -time (or 3rd or more!) Mamas... do you tend to get the most wear out of pants that sit below the belly or have the elastic band so they can be pulled up? At this point, I prefer the high-waisted ones, but who knows how I'll feel in 5 months

I have always liked the full panel ones. They get hot in the summer, but the extra support is necessary for me, because I get enormous.

I especially like them right now - if I wear regular pants or just elastic waist maternity pants, my belly is a funny shape Smile If I wear full panel pants, then my belly is nice and round and pregnant looking, not just awkward-shaped flab looking!
