Appt today!

We had our appointment today for anatomy scan. Carter looks perfect! No abnormalities detected in the u/s!

He was extremely active in the u/s, as usual. The u/s tech pointed out a tiny calf muscle already developed so maybe we have a future athlete!? Matt was thrilled about that, of course.

He really loves his hands and was sucking his thumb or touching his face almost the entire time. Weight is about 10 ounces...measuring a few days farther along than what we thought, but not enough to change my EDD. I have a feeling it might get moved and he'll be born in October.

HR 136. All the chambers looked great. Kidneys were fine. Lips normal, spine normal, skin intact. All the major things I was concerned about are OK!

I am starting to feel him move pretty regularly. As I've typed this I've felt him move 4 or 5 times. Placenta is still anterior but not covering cervix. Pregnancy weight gain totals 3 pounds!

I'm so happy that he is healthy and growing like crazy. I have pictures that I will try to upload later!

I was actually going to post and ask how your appointment went. Any word from Doctor about the heart palpitations?

I'm so happy Carter is so healthy and big! Maybe you'll have the first November baby. I think I'll probably be fairly late. Congratulations.

Oh! I forgot to mention that in my post! She did a blood draw to check my thyroid, as that can be a possible, easily fixable cause. And also said that if it continues to happen that she will refer me to a cardiologist. She says some women develop arrhythmias during pregnancy. I feel better about it after talking to her, but it still freaks me out.

that's great news jen! so glad that everything is going well! and how fun that you're feeling the little guy move already!

i hope the palpitations are nothing and not a thyroid issue.

Glad everything is ok and you got to see your baby!! I think now it is beginning to be really cool to see the baby because they are getting more human like with really features and they aren't this tiny dot on the screen anymore.
With the baby size &EDD, the earlier the u/s the more accurate at dating. Later on (after 12 weeks or so) baby's sizes fluctuate so much so changing the EDD is pointless, even if your baby measures a week bigger or something, kwim?
