Baby Shower Theme?

Do any of you know what your theme for your baby shower(s) will be? Were any of you able to pick out the theme?

My darling friend is letting me have a LOT of say...I'm thinking our theme might just be bright colors! The shower will be in early August, so I'm hoping for platters of blackberries, cherries and nectarines, mmmm!

And we're doing a rainbow cake!!!!

I'm usually SUPER careful about what I eat, but I am sure looking forward to that mega-dose of artificial food coloring, lol Biggrin

That cake is super cute!! I'll be waiting until the end of October to have my shower, as I want to do a Halloween theme! I knew I wanted to do it whether or not it was a boy or a girl... but seeing how it's a boy I feel a little more comfortable now lol!

Cuuuuuuute cake!

We're going to stay with the nautical theme for at least one of our showers.

Jenni are you - by chance - a delta gamma? I love the nautical theme for his bedroom and shower!

And Krystal, I LOVE the halloween theme for your little guy's shower.

I want cake!
For my daughter's last birthday we bought her a castle cake pan and wanted to make a cake. One like this, but ours is silicon http://www.amazon.de/Nordicware-57724-Backform-Burg-1Kg/dp/B000F5M044/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1308644254&sr=1-2

Anyway before her bday, we tried making several different cakes and none of them would work. They always stuck or something happened. Then I had to idea to do a rainbow jello mould (see rainbow that is where this fits in?) But with jello molds you have to make one layer, let it sit, make the next layer, etc. This cake is huge I think it needed 20 jello boxes to fill it. A few days before I started making the layers. The night before my husband threw his back out and had to be transported to a special hospital. I had to cancel everything. I already had this giant jello and 2 cakes made. My husband and I aren't big jello fans and at the time, only my daughter was old enough to eat jello, so all my hard work went down the drain, literally. The rainbow cake made me think of that. sorry that was a little off topic there Smile

For my first, her shower was "shower" based. People were told to bring umbrellas and bathing suits if they were daring! There were tubs full of water balloons. Everything involved water. It was just before labor day, so the colors were red, white and blue. We had bought a bunch of stuff on sale just after the 4th.

For my second because it was a bunch of kids and more like a sprinkle, there was no theme.

I have been to a few that had the nursery theme as the shower theme. I thought that was cute. I forget how it was worded, but say it was going to be a Toy story theme. the people were encouraged to bring toy story decor for the nursery. Then those decorations were put up for the day.

Me too, in the end. I was a DG for the first few years and then I dropped.
