Is anyone watching this season?
I'll admit I've never watched... do any of them actually stay together after the show?
I am a self proclaimed Bachelor/Bachelorette addict, and this season, Ashley is sooo annoying to me! If she says Bentleys name one more time I am going to scream! Haha. I thought she was annoying with Brad though, too. I haven't watched tonight's episode yet. I will watch it tomorrow when DH is gone, he HATES it, lol. I'm really interested in seeing the update on Brad and Emily. I'm sad they broke up.
This season lost me when the whole Bentley thing went down a couple weeks ago.
Krystal...I think only three couples have stayed together. Trista and Ryan are married with two babies. Jason and Molly are married. Ali and Roberto are planning their wedding. Emily and Brad (the most recent couple) just broke up.
Katie...I know what you mean! Every other word out of her mouth was "Bentley Bentley Bentley"! I think on Talk Soup Joel McHale was making fun of her and played a clip that showed every time she said "Bentley". It was so funny!!! I also haven't watched tonight's episode. I'm at work and have it DVR'd at home.
Tamara...I keep watching because it is like a train wreck...I just can't look away!
Okay, so I watched it this morning...seriously, Ashley gets on my nerves! Can you say dramatic? And the update on Brad and Emily was sad too. I am totally over this season...ready for the next.
You are right about it being like a train wreck!
My husband and I watch it. (Don't tell him I said that!)
We mostly watch to heckle or make fun of the people. Not in a "mean" way...and I hope that doesn't offend anyone who really gets in to the show! We just personally don't LIKE LIKE the show...but we do watch it every week. It's stupid fun, I guess you could say. (for us). It's like catching all of the funny Soup moments before we watch the Soup on Friday.
For the past 2 seasons, since I started watching the show, I have correctly picked who the person "ends up with" in the end just by the opening "introductions". Like, person gets out of car, says something cheesy, and goes inside the house. I'm not sure if they air ALL of them, but I think they do like 15 or 20 (maybe all of them). I was right with Emily and Roberto. This season, it was too hard to narrow it down to just one. So I did a "top 3". My first choice was the cell phone salesman (forgot his name), my second choice was Ryan P. (just from his intro, remember...those first episodes I was like GAHHH he's leaving right away! He's so annoying! Somehow he stayed a long time though), and my third choice was Ben. So all three of my dudes stayed awhile, and Ben is still in it, but I do not think she picks Ben. So I'm afraid to say I am pretty sure I was wrong this season! Good thing I didn't put money on it
We watch Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant for the same entertainment factor. Anyone watch those?
She made it through an entire episode without saying BENTLEY! wooooooooooooow! Finally.
I think it will come down to Ben and JP and she will pick JP. Thats what I would do if I were her.
I have watched 16 and pregnant a few times and Teen Mom as well. One of the teen moms (Maci) lives in my city. I don't get in to those shows too much because I think they glamorize pregnancy to teens.
I agree -- Ben VS JP, JP comes out in first place.
Oooh, are you in Chatanooga? *blushes* I shouldn't know that...
Caitlynn lives a couple of hours from me in a VERY small town. DH has relatives (that he rarely communicates with) that live there. We went to a funeral there last year and it was fun to drive around the streets and try to "find Caitlynn's mom's house". Talk about creepy 30-year olds, right? LOL. (The funeral was delayed so we had about 3 hours to kill -- we are not stalkers or anything). We have no idea what her house looks like, we didn't pay that much attention to the show.
I think that it absolutely DOES glamorize teen pregnancies. Because of the show, there have been several instances of groups of girls "trying" to get pregnant after school. And more schools are offering in-school daycare facilities to cope with young girls having babies. It's crazy! We had a pregnant teen at my school and people (including her friends) were awful to her (which I didn't take part of) until she dropped out. Now, girls seem to get excited over the bellies and almost positively reinforce the decision to get pregnant.
It's a crazy world.
I have a boy and am expecting a girl and the teen pregnancy shows really makes me wonder if I will set any kind of double standards for my kids. Will I be firmer with my daughter, telling her she needs to come home at an earlier hour and be more skeptical of her opposite-gendered friends? I know it takes two, and my son could be just as capable of procreating with someone else's daughter.
Just a thought I have sometimes...
Maci is living in Murfreeboro right now. She goes to school where I graduated (MTSU). From what I understand she just takes online classes and has been spotted at our mall. I think her parents live in Chattanooga (which is about an hour and a half from my house).
I was born in Manchester- the home town of a music festival you may have heard about called Bonnaroo.
I also have heard about high school girls trying to get pregnant to be on that show. That is insane! Being from a small town when I graduated (2001) many of the girls in my class either were pregnant or already had a child. We need a theater or something so that teens would have something to do other than have sex!
I usually watch the show but I agree...Ashley got so annoying with the Bentley thing. I missed a couple and did not really care. I might try to watch it tonight...I like JP...unless he changed in the last couple episodes.
