braxton hicks contractions

Anyone else??? I have been having these for weeks. They are not consistent but sometimes painful. The pain is on my lower right, where I had awful ligament pain earlier in this pregnancy. I never had BH contrax with Ds until the last few weeks. I have my regular OB appt next Monday, and I will ask him about these then. I don't plan on calling before then but man, sometimes these suckers hurt!!!!

I've been having them. Especially on Saturday when we were in the car for 10 hours on our way to the beach. They come and go. I feel pressure and tightening that feels a little uncomfortable but it goes away when I walk or lay down.

I've had them for a while now too. I never had them with DD, then with DS, I started having them around 35 weeks. This time I think I started feeling them around 25 weeks.

Mine aren't "painful", just really tight and uncomfortable. I can feel my whole uterus harden, usually for about 20-30 seconds, then it passes and I am comfortable again. It usually happens every day, but not all in a row, just randomly throughout the day.

It could be. Since you can't really feel the bottom of your uterus (since it's down above your vajayjay!) BH are certainly most noticeable at the top of your belly. I definitely feel the tightening more on the top half of my belly than on the sides, for example.

I don't normally get them at all. I haven't with any of my pregnancies... but when I was pregnant with Kay, for the last week of my pregnancy I had contractions pretty much constantly... Sometimes it was painful, sometimes it wasn't, but I could definitely feel they were there and it SUCKED!

Hope you don't get them too often....

Yeah, I get them too. They really make you tired of the whole pregnancy , you know? Who needs this extra pain?

Sounds like it! Mine start low..almost like pressure on my bladder then my uterus tightens up, and I can especially feel it in the center. I think some women feel them radiate to their back but I haven't had that. Try walking or lay down on your left side. That should help it ease up a bit.

I don't have them... at least not yet. I didn't have them with any of my other babies, though... so I'm not much help. I know that they're not supposed to really be painful, and should go away if you lay down or take a rest for a bit. Just make sure you're staying hydrated as well as you can!

I don't think I'm having them.

For those of you who are BTDT or definitely experiencing BH, are they WAY different feeling than some of the really intense, rolling fetal movement?

Yes it feels different than movement to me. I don't recall him moving while I've had a BH. I just get this low, deep pressure that I assume feels like his head pressing on my cervix and then my entire uterus gets super tight. I can feel the weight pressing on my bladder too. It doesn't hurt..just mostly feels like uncomfortable pressure and tightening.
