crazy down there pain

ok so for the last couple of days i've had some weird down there pains that i never had with my son. it feels like the baby is moving and basically punching me in my cervix. it stops me dead in my tracks when it happens. we were just standing at a restaurant waiting for a table when it felt like he kicked me and i had to hold myself up - the pain isn't that bad but it's startling.

is it because this baby is much lower? i think that after my first pregnancy everything must have just opened up more and stretched down there so he feels lower.

i can barely walk now! it feels like the baby's going to punch right through and break the water! and i'm only 34 weeks and need more baking time.

i don't want to call the doc and be like, "wah, the kicking really hurts my down there" but it's just so weird and not like last time.

anyone have something similar going on?? i went from moving around easily to literally needing to sit or lay down all the time in like two days. blergh.

yep, I have that. I think it is the baby hitting a nerve or something in the cervix. It makes me jump!

This brings me to tears every time it happens! I never had this with my other pregnancies either.

I think baby is just so low he is wreaking major havoc on my cervix. It kills!

I was at my IL's for dinner and was trying to eat my icecream for dessert and just burst in to tears because my cervix was hurting so bad!

Lurker from December...

I have this same thing! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. This has not happened with my previous pregnancies, and it's driving me crazy! Sometimes it feels like she is so low that when she moves she is scraping my cervix or something...good grief it's painful! I don't know if it means she has dropped or not (i hope not), but then other times she moves back up and her movements are around my bellybutton - much nicer. Smile

OMG I think I know exactly what you're talking about. I don't remember this with DD either. I've had these sharp pains like that, feels like he's trying to come through my cervix elbow-first. Like a full people's elbow to the cervix, lol. I've only had it a couple times the first time was Wednesday bending over in the kitchen, then today again just while walking around at the mall. I mentioned it to the doctor already since he asked me, he didn't say much about it but at my exam he says the baby has lowered down a bit. It does feel like hitting a nerve or something, not too horribly painful but yeah like you said enough to make me pay attention!

I'm having those pains too. They can be quite painful. I'm visualizing his head bumping into my cervix and that causing me to dilate and efface! At least that is what I hope is happening.

I'm with everyone too! Actually just now I told DH that I felt like he was trying to claw out! Or poking me with a claw. It's not much fun!

Yeah, who gave all these babies a fork? Mine does it too, usually when I am walking.

Lol! I am having the same pains, some days worse than others. It also feels bad in my bladder and like he wants to come out through my urethra!

Don't worry, it's totally normal. I didn't experience this until my third baby, and then thankfully only in the last month of my pregnancy. With this baby it's already started this past week... and it's very painful. Like you said, it's like he's going to fall out... and this happens when I walk around for more than 10 minutes or stand for a long time. It's just the extreme pressure on your pelvic area, and I'm told it gets worse with every child that you have, as your body and muscles aren't as strong each time around, they get weaker. Yay for being pregnant lol!
