Crazy pregnancy dreams

Anyone having any?? At the beginning of the PG I seemed to have some more hmmmm...intimate dreams Smile Then for the last month or two nothing unusual. Then last night I had a dream..it was so crazy. Me, DS and my DS aide went downtown for an appt...not sure what the appt was for but I left DS with his aide and went to fill out forms. When we went back my aide told me she dropped DS at a babysitters next door. I was livid..he has cerebral palsy you can't just leave him with someone who does not know him...and that is what she is getting paid for. We went there and the lady could not even speak english and was gesturing she did not have my son but was trying to give me another baby. The police came and she told them that DS was taken by men. My aide finally admitted that she SOLD DS. I physically started attacking her. The police got a call that there was a special needs boy in the back alley so we went and there he was. It was just crazy. But it seemed so real. Anyone else have any weird dreams??

Oh yea! Lots of dreams! Mine have been in full-out broadway fashion lately, with song and dance for some reason.

There is this cool article I read on Pregnancy.com a couple of weeks ago about dreams:

Dreams During Pregnancy

Many women report that their dream life shifts into high gear during pregnancy. Interestingly, during the second and third trimesters, you spend less sleep time in rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the cycle in which most dreams occur. Why, then, all those frequent and vivid dream memories?

It's probably at least in part because you may be interrupting a dream-filled cycle when you wake up to pee, cope with heartburn, leg cramps, restless legs, or a backache, or to shift to a more comfortable position. Waking up during REM sleep makes you more likely to remember your dreams.

It may also be in part that dreams seem so vivid during pregnancy because for most women pregnancy is a time of such heightened emotions — from joy to apprehension and everything in between — but no one really knows for sure.

Here's a look at some common themes and what they may mean, according to Patricia Garfield, a clinical psychologist and author of Women's Bodies, Women's Dreams.

You're caring for baby animals. During the second trimester, many pregnant women dream about cuddly, baby-like animals, such as puppies, chicks, and kittens. Friendly creatures in your dreams are generally thought to signify that you're tuned in to your instincts. Menacing animals, on the other hand, may represent ambivalence about the strange new creature entering your life.

You have a sexy encounter with an old flame. Many mothers-to-be are concerned about their changing figure and its effect on their sex life — while many others feel more sexually charged than ever. Both feelings are often reflected in your dreams. Not only do erotic dreams offer comforting reassurance, but they may mirror the sexiness you feel during your waking hours, too.

Your mate is straying. If you dream that your partner hooks up with an ex-girlfriend or a total stranger, it can signal insecurity about holding his love and attention through a time of great change. Right now, you're dependent on the goodwill and support of those around you, especially your partner. Fearing his loss is a common emotional reaction to being pregnant.

Yes, I've been having lots of dreams, not that I can remember any! The only one I could remember I shot right up and told my husband (through tears almost) that he had cheated on my in my dream! I was so beside myself!

I dreamt last weekend a really vivid one. My Mum came to visit, then proceeded to loudly make strange and unfounded accusations to me in my kitchen. She went on and on about some guy i'd never heard of and how I was supposedly spending time with him about the same time as DH and I were getting engaged. It was really strange, and I couldn't get her to drop it, though she was making no sense at all. She had names, dates, witnesses etc blah blah blah blah. I finally ended up physically assaulting her in an attempt to get her to shut up. (Heh heh heh that was actually kind satisfying). I know, it's nasty eh!
Anyway when she did phone IRL that day, it really felt awkward talking to her, lol.

Unfortunately the sexy dreams have gone away. Sad

But I did dream the other night that Matt busted me smoking pot in our bedroom. Which is hilarious because I've never done that.

I have dreams that I am a sinlge teen mom. I have had similar dreams throughout all my pregnancies. I guess I have a fear of being alone?

I also have dreams where I attack my mom because I hate her.

Holy moly-I have crazy dreams normally but they are completely wacko during pregnancy.
Last night's entertainment was really scary. I dreamt "bad guys" were chasing my family and we wound up at my old family camp on the lake (which my parents sold in 1989). Anyhow, my mom assured me we would all be safe because I had a secret nuclear bomb-a very very small one-in the cottage by the road (at the top of the hill, our camp was at the bottom, on the lake). Anyhow, I had to make sure that we were all in the fallout shelter (the boathouse.basement of the camp) and I thought we all were, but my dog escaped and I didn't know! I hit the detonate button, and killed the bad guys, but poor Maxie got maimed. He came down to me, all effed up looking because, well, I had just detonated a small nuclear weapon near him, and he wanted me to pet him before he died. I felt horrible, and tried to hug his body, but then realized that I probably shouldn't be touching a dog that was full of radiation. I felt so bad, I cried and cried and cried as he lay there wimpering and dying. *ugh*

I woke my husband up and made him hold me, which he just snuggled next to me. I told him he wasn't holding me good enough, and he told me to knock it off and he was going to "toss me out of bed" if I complained. Granted it was 4 a.m. It took me an hour and a half to get back to sleep.

(And this is just a sampling of the crazy stuff that goes on in my head at night...)

I have been having nightmares also the last couple of nights. Last night I dreamed that me & DH were abducted by this psychotic couple who kept showing us videos of the other people they had abducted and killed. I was so freaked out I was up for hours after that!

I think it's because I was having a lot of hip pain last night and also my nose was really stuffed up so I was having trouble breathing.

wow, I could have written this post Biggrin I'm a mess at night with hip pain and full bladder and tossing and turning.

I'm having a lot of horrific nightmares. That being said, I'm also frequently having cute dreams about our little family having a second baby. Another boy, who resembles me a bit more than his older brother. WEIRD.
