Exhausting

It is so exhausting carrying this belly around. I am beyond pooped. I really didn't gain weight anywhere else other than my belly, so it is literally like having a 35 pound watermelon strapped to my front. I obviously can't just sit around and wait for the next 10 days so I am trying to stay busy.

Today I got my kitchen spic and span, did 3 loads of laundry, and made a batch of chocolate chip cookies.

I think I will take a Tylenol PM this weekend if I haven't had the baby yet. Can't during the week because I have to get up with kids, but DH could always take our early rising DS on Saturday morning. Or maybe I will get my mom to take the kids for a sleepover.....

Is anyone else still preggo getting any sleep? I am constantly awake to flip myself back and forth. Then I spend all day hauling around a 35 pound belly. *yawn*

I'm SO DONE!!!!!

Honestly Sandra, I don't know how you function! Your belly is so protruding ( as beautiful as it looks) it must be so hard on your back!!! Just maneuvering around must be difficult! I really hope your baby boy decides to come out really soon!

Even though I am tired from being up with a newborn, I am thankful for not having a belly anymore.

I feel your pain! I'm up at least 3-4 times a night Sad I was thinking a NB might be better at least when I sleep I'll be comfortable. I also have wicked horrible heartburn. I'm sure the kid is 8+ pounds at this point he just feels big if that makes any sense. I wouldn't say I'm miserable but I'm very ready to be done, to have my body back (minus the boobs i suppose but I can pump those if I need to haha) and to hold my baby vs carry him in my belly Smile

You do make the cutest preggo lady ever though Smile You should totally model maternity clothing!

The funniest part about my protruding belly:

I still turn sideways automatically when I'm trying to get through a narrow space. Even though I am skinnier from side to side right now than from front to back! ROFL

I just can't help it. I turn sideways and try to squeeze through and then realize I'm being completely counterproductive.

hahaha I'm always underestimating how much space I now require and bump in to things!

I've knocked Jack down or bumped his head a few times with my belly. I just forget that my belly sticks out so far!!!

And I second the comment about being a maternity model-you are a very cute pregnant lady!!!

You're not alone. I get maybe 3 hours of sleep a night, and then I lay away staring at the ceiling. I just get up and do work until I exhaust myself. Thankfully I can work from home, so midday naps while my 5-year-old is at school and husband is at work are AWESOME.

Try to take it easy. I made the mistake of going to a meeting and parking 4 blocks away from the building. I walked to and from the car, carrying a laptop and my work bag, and by the time I got home afterwards I was POOPED. Little trips become journeys. Everytime I drive past a handicap parking spot near my destinations, I get jealous and curse the government for not allowing pregnant women temporary parking decals:rolleyes:.

We're almost there. Try to enjoy the last few moments of your pregnancy because we all know that a newborn is quite the game changer. If your mom is willing to take the kids so you can get some rest, definitely try to cash in on that. You're going to need that extra energy very soon!

Good luck!

First off, you look amazing! I'm having a horrible time sleeping, between the back pain and waking up every couple of hours to pee. Plus, it's excrutiating just flipping from one side to the other in bed, it literally feels like someone is yanking my pevic bones on each side and trying to rip them apart... from the front and the back! Uggghhh I'm so done, too!!

lol this must be something in our brains that makes us turn sideways- I still do this too! At work I try to squeeze by and it never works I end up bumping into whoever or something in the way. Someone will move a bit and then we realize that I need even more room to get by.

You look fantastic!

Ugh sorry you're so uncomfortable. You look adorable though! Lol about turning sideways, I had done that squeezing between the car and the garage door and scraped my belly on the metal hinges owww.

I am so with you on this Sandra- I am so done with being pregnant. My belly is just about the size of yours, just all out front. I have hit the kids heads with it so many times, its kinda funny actually! I bet I will get more sleep with a newborn than right now, because I am so stinkin uncomfortable. I grunt when I roll over, which is about 20x a night.... Ugh!
Praying your babe (and mine!) comes soon!!!
Big hugs!
P.S. You are the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen, hands down! Smile
