feeling contrax in legs?

so i think i'm having contractions. i mean, i'm having pains that last about a minute long but i'm feeling the contractions more in my verrrrrry low stomach, legs, and even my butt. what the heck is THAT all about?

anyone have experience with that? DH has DS at the zoo right now and my contractions aren't all that regular but def a few each hour. i just downloaded a contractions app on my phone.

if it's labor i don't want to ignore it but having such low contractions seems weird. anyone have any experience with this?

I've been having pains/contractions in my inner thighs. I googled it and it seems fairly normal. I never had them with Evan but this time I do, go figure.

I have been having irregular contractions for like 2 weeks, drives me nuts! I'm not one to think much of it until they are too painful to talk through, sleep through etc. But that being said I showed up at the hospital 8cm dilated with Evan and had called the doc to be sure I shouldn't just go get checked at his office HAHA

But this time around I have a lot more irregular tightening/contractions that come and go. Maybe it's b/c I know what they are and notice them or maybe my body is just practicing more ??

**LURKER**

I get these really odd sharp pains on my inner thighs as I feel my lower abdomen tighten. The pain in my legs stops me in my tracks but the tightening in my abdomen isn't so bad. I also get the pain in my back as well. Maybe these are contractions in my legs afterall. I thought maybe the baby was pushing on a nerve or something.

they seem like contractions to me but i'd feel awfully silly if they weren't.

the pain is so low that it feels like i have to poop too. which makes me worried b/c i haven't gone in a while and i soooo don't want to have a big poop during delivery. ewwwww

i just wish i knew if i was in labor and what's going to happen. if i didn't have a toddler it wouldn't matter but trying to arrange care for him is hard. if i had to go to the hospital today it would work out perfectly because my uncle is around all day today and tomorrow with his kids.

Well with Evan I did a lot of pooping before he was born during labor and was all cleaned out for the actual pushing delivery. TMI? Probably. But it was good to be all clear before pushing! So maybe the contractions and urge to go to the bathroom are all signs you're in early labor!

Huh I guess it makes sense that contrax could be felt in your major muscles in butt and thighs. I bet you will 'clear out' before you get on the delivery table. TMI I did, couldn't tell ya if I lost any plug with it. I was quite happy thinking yay less to worry about on the table :). Anyway if you do it happens all the time, you won't even notice coz the nurses take care & means you're pushing right too. I hope you get some progress confirmation soon! Biggrin

With DD I had intense hip leg and back pain while in labor and with this one I had the feeling of having a bowel movement after my water broke, that lasted until delivery.
That said, if it is back labor, I would do some forward leaning positions etc. cannot reccomend it enough as I avoided that this time by doing certain yoga poses etc.

GL, It sounds promising:)

I don't think I had contractions in my legs, but I did have a lot of cramping on my calves during labour/delivery. My midwives had to keep massaging my legs because they were so sore. And I had a lot of back labour this time because he was moving around so much during labour. If you start having regular contractions 5 mins apart, lasting 1 minute long, or even closer together, I would definately put a call in. Good Luck!
