Have you gained weight?

If so, how much? I am trying really hard to stay at 20 lbs this pregnancy. I gained too much my last pregnancy. Granted, I lost it all and am at the same starting pre-preg weight. I have gained 2 lbs so I have got to work harder to eat really healthfully. So tell me I am not alone. What have you gained?

I am up 2-3 pounds. I am actually surprised that I gained at all consdering how sick I have been. Although everything I eat is carbs. I too want to watch my weight -I am starting the PG a little chunky.

I'm weirdly down about a half pound...my MS isn't too bad, and I'm eating like a carb-crazed lumberjack. It will catch up, I'm sure.

Hi Smile I'm up 6 lbs this pregnancy so far but will probably close out the first trimester at 5 lbs. My weight fluctuates a lot due to water and honest gain/loss due to appetite changes. At the very beginning I'm HUNGRY (and nursing fulltime my baby) so put on some weight. (Standard for each of my pregnancies). Then when the morning sickness kicks in, my desire to eat drops and I end up living on cheerios and fruit. It goes through these cycles all pregnancy long and weight gain is rarely steady. There are times of rapid growth and other times where it's slow. In the end I anticipate 30 to 35 lbs of weight gain which is needed for my body due to nursing. At 6 months postpartum I'm back down to 118 lbs which is my standard weight. I do have to be very careful though about what I eat otherwise I'll gain way too much (made that mistake my first pregnancy..it wasn't pretty) and trying to focus on protein which is best for the baby and myself. It's hard! Even harder is workign out..yikes..

I actually weighed myself this morning and was down 5 pounds. Not sure how or why but my weight has flutuated alot these last 5 weeks.I havent ever been in the gaining catergory yet though. I am VERY worried about weight gain this time around.I just lost 50 pounds this past year and I am scared to death to put it back on.I have never gained too much weight ( less than 20 each time last 2 gave birth right around pre pregnancy weight due to major losses at the beginning) I am just really concerned.I am trying my best to eat healthy and to not over eat.

If protein is so good for you why does it sound so gross? LOL Bagels, pasta, potatoes Mmm. Chicken, beans, ground turkey barf. That's my current feeling. It will improve hopefully.....

To make matters worse we seem to have a little stomach thing in the house right now. So if I eat I get crampy and have stomach issues. If I don't eat I feel pukey and gross b/c I'm pregnant. There is just no winning! And with this crazy sinus thing I have going on I feel like doing anything but working out.

trying to keep the weight gain to a minimum here too. so far i'm down about a pound. the first tri is only "supposed" to be like 3-5 lbs so i'm hoping to keep it at that. if you think about it really, i guess there isn't much need to gain all that much in the first tri. certainly there isn't much of a belly gain by then since the baby is the size of a pea! still, my last pregnancy i prob gained 10 lbs in the first tri. i tried to pretend it was the pregnancy but really i was just eating way too much!
