hayride?

This weekend we are supposed to go on a hayride to the pumpkin patch. I am worried about how bumpy it will be. Esp since little man had dropped now. What are your thoughts?? I will be sad to miss Ds pick out his pumpkin, and I am the one that has been carrying around our new camera taking pics these days while DH runs around with him Sad

Oooh, that's tough! I wouldn't want to miss out either, but even bumpy roads are starting to be really uncomfortable for me!

How long/far is the ride?

I am leaning towards no Sad We went on a hayride when we did a farm dinner with some friends in mid August and it was a little too bumpy for me then (this was a different farm than where we are going Saturday). I am sitting here at work and I can feel my little man really low poking me.

I am not sure how long it is, I should call the farm.

I'm going twice : on the 15 th with friends and again on the 19th with daycare. I figure I'll be almost at term so what will be will be!

I also went on one three weeks ago when we picked apples. Personnally I feel that if that little amount of jostling is going to start something it would have started anyways. That said, call and find out how long it is and if it's bumpy. The farm we go to is pretty smooth, no potholes or anything. That will help you make up your mind in a more informed manner. Off roading isn't the same as a rude down a well worn dirt road!

Ooh, I'm uncomfortable just thinking about it! Can you still get to the pumpkin patch without the hay ride?

THe other one that is pretty close is about the same. We were going to try to stay closer to home since we have some friends coming over later.

Maybe I can just stay back and eat Apple Fritters, cider and doughnuts? One of the farms has the BEST apple fritters ever!!!!!!!

That sounds like my kind of harvest celebration! Biggrin

Too bad you aren't here in Portland! One of the farms around here has an area in the parking lot filled with hay bales and pumpkins for the very littles - seems totally risk-less for us pregnants!

I wouldn't go on one, but only you can tell how you think the ride might be... good luck and have fun anyway!
