Hey November Mommies!

I was just browsing around pg.org and thought I'd pop over to see how my fellow Turkey-moms are doing. Just think, this time next year you'll be chasing crawling 7 month olds around!

Does any first time moms have any questions they want to ask? I ended up with a c/s at 39 weeks and BF'd for 4 months before the PCOS completely drained my supply.

I'll be popping on and off of here, but feel free to PM me anytime if you have questions! GL! Biggrin

The LC I was working with said that it's funny, PCOS women tend to have either nothing or way too much and it was awesome that I kept it at the "normal" level as long as I did (I EBF'd for 4 months).

What's funnier??? I also have PCOS and had a completely even supply! I never leaked or anything (well maybe a few times inthe first few days). I never felt "let down" when bfing. But when they would weigh the babies after a meal, they had drank a ton! So I guess I was making exactly the right amount Lol My kids were both really big.

I am still bfing my "middle child". Everyone is really different!

You never leaked? What did I do wrong then??? With every single baby not only did it leak horribly when I would feed on one breast, the other would leak milk everywhere! And also when I would sleep! I had to sleep with a bra and breastpads as to not soak my sheets every night! Was I just not feeding them enough?

I think you did everything right, I just got lucky!
If it makes you feel better with my boy, he would pee out his diaper and soak our sheets Lol (we hadn't realized that point it down trick!)

Also, I had my gall bladder taken out last summer. I had been pumping and bfing my son at the time to make a big enough stash for a week's stay in the hospital. The night before I was supposed to have my surgery, I had an attack and spent that night [awake and in pain] in the hospital. The next morning I had my surgery. I was told to wait 24 hours before bfing. But I was so out of it it wasn't until the next evening when I finally fed him again, so from Thurs-Sat I didn't bf. When I woke up Fri, still super groggy and only wanting to sleep, I had leaked everywhere. My sheets were soaked, but there was no way I had the energy to pump off. I asked to have my sheets changed, they said they only do that certain times of the day and I missed that time:eek:. The next day same thing happened again! My nasty old bf soaked and dried sheets, were soaked again and I missed the sheet changing time again!:angry1: My husband brought some towels from home.

Anyway, once that was all settled, baby went back to bfing and never had problems with leaking/over/under supply. I think I am just lucky! knock on wood!

(watch next time I will either be super leaky or super dry!)

Lol that's too funny (and crappy at the same time!)! I hope it works out for me this time, but probably not because all three BF episodes have been the same... leak, leak, leak!
